I didn’t get a chance to take any pics of the food because we ate everything so fast! Everything on the menu was delicious and the staff was very friendly.
I was really craving some fresh sushi and sushi girl did not disappoint! Tried almost every roll with my friends. Spicy ahi was my fav!

Tried to order ahead, was immediately placed on hold and after some time the call dropped. Tried again, same thing happened, so we ordered in person instead. The sushi was fine, not spectacular like some other reviews have mentioned. Maybe the sushi burrito or poke would have been better, but the rolls were underwhelming. The miso soup was surprisingly disappointing as well. In my opinion, if you're looking for the best maki on island, there's a Thai sushi place in Lihue which is it.

First off I’ve been going to sushi girl since the girl started this many years ago, I think her name is Taylor. But in the last couple of years, I’ve seen a digression of the quality of the sushi made there and especially service. Everything from mixed up orders to, wrong orders. Pieces of hair in the sushi, bad service. The other night I called in my order said they said it would be done in 30 minutes when I arrived, they said they had accidentally given it away to someone else. They said they’d have my order out in another 15 minutes. I actually waited one hour. As the girl who was making the sushi kept taking phone orders,, that she couldn’t fulfill telling them the same thing it would be 30 minutes when that was not even possible. Once my order arrived, it wasn’t made to go like I asked the sushi burrito fell apart, not used to the same quality that once was there. There was a young boy working there, and he was not very friendly and his customer service skills were lacking to put it nicely. Both of these young people working in there, we’re hustling trying to do the best they could, but obviously did not have to train to carry out their task. Didn’t give the right amount of time that a customer would be waiting. And kept teaching orders she could not fulfill in the promised time! This will be my last time at sushi Grill the last several times I’ve been very disappointed in the and in the customer service.

If you only get sushi once on the island, this is where you should go. We have been coming to this spot for years and cannot say enough good things about the food and service. Daily fresh caught local fish served up in creative and delicious dishes in Maki Roll, Sushi Burrito, or Poke Bowl style.
While the girl who rang us up was pleasant, that was all sadly. No sushi & I repeat NO SUSHI should taste like that. Also, pre-made musubi doesn't belong on the counter hanging out in Saran wrap... I tasted 2 separate rolls & almost spit them out. My family opt'd for the musubi but the smell was too off putting for me to try. It's very aesthetically cute but also very deceiving. I really wished the food was better but there are so many other options to be thankfully for on the island! I sadly cannot recommend them, save yourself the visit. It's overpriced and just not tasty. #bummed
