“WOWZERS!!!! We came here after reading the reviews and decided we should stop in to try Venezuelan food. At first we ended up in a golf course and weren't sure where we were but it's tucked in behind the shop at the golf course. The food was absolutely delicious and fresh and we all ordered different things to try. I had the Ally's plate with garlic shrimp and it was absolutely delicious, my friends had the Arepa with saute shrimp and avocado. Normally I cannot finish an entire plate but I ate every bit of it and wanted more. We all tried different dishes and they were all spectacular. After a hike this place hits the spot. Great service.”
“We were looking for something a little off the beaten path and more "authentic" than what was in Kilauea town. We found this on Yelp and decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed! Big Nicks in just off the road in the grass area adjacent to the school. They were so friendly and everything we ate was delicious. The crowd was about 70% locals and 30% tourists. Only 3 picnic tables to eat at but a lot of the patrons were getting their food to go. The burgers were excellent and cooked to order and came with plenty of fries. The Local Boy plate had some beef, chicken and shrimp plus rice and potato salad. All of it was hot and super tasty. If you're looking for ambience or a great view this isn't your place. But if you're looking for good food, large portions and wonderful service then don't miss this place!”
“The location on Google Maps is a little misleading. They are across the street in another strip mall by the physical therapy place. Great juice and salad options.”
“This place is amazing. Great food, the croissant breakfast sandwich. Good coffee and a great location to do some local shopping. And right next to one of the best grocery stores for all your local needs.”
“It's a good place to meet up some locals, spend a good amount of money on food and coffee, not lots of room to seat but if you get there early you should be fine, baristas were nice thi”
“My wife and I came here two years ago and had to go back this trip. JP, the owner was so incredibly friendly and helpful. The wait staff was also excellent and knowledgeable. The food was as we remembered… fresh and delicious. I can’t recommend this place highly enough… we will be back whenever we are in Kauai!”
“We discovered the place by chance and we loved it, the delicious fish, the impeccable service and also the entire gluten-free menu, which for me as a celiac was wonderful to find. 10/10Dietary restrictions: The entire menu is gluten free”
“Trilogy is one of the absolute GO TO places on Kauai!!! No matter where on the island you are - their unique beverages, mixtures and food is 100% worth the way. Power place with kind people ❤️? happy to be back again !! Aloha !!Vegetarian options: Mostly vegan food and drinks all optionsDietary restrictions: All availabaleParking: Lots of free parking around the areaKid-friendliness: Super friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Easy access”
“Got takeaway one night - easy ordering online and food was ready in 20 min. The shrimp scampi flatbread was amazing! Can also recommend the arugula salad that comes with strawberries, fig, and feta. Portions are big! Staff is friendly and responsive. Plenty of ”
“I've been going to Kilauea Bakery my whole life. I love the macadamia nuts and sticky buns. Their pizza with Gorgonzola sauce is great, and the ham rolls are yummy. My kids are big fans of the cinnamon twists. This bakery is a big part of our community and my family loves it. Highly recommend it.”
“Delicious and beautiful. Sara was reliable and professional. The cake was excellent. We were in town for my husbands bday and Sara came through with just a few days notice”
“Friendly and helpful staff. But by far the winner here in the food!! The Ahi wrap, fish tacos, Korean bbq chicken and potato Mac salad are all wonderful. Great price point as well. Hands down the best meal for the price in the area!!”
“I thought this island had a subway. I was clearly wrong. This is a sandwich chain don't let the name fool you like it did to me. I spent an hour waiting for a train to come. 5 stars”
“This is a wonderful restaurant with innovative dishes. Probably some of your favorites but a few not regularly served here on Kauai. This was a special night with a family members birthday. We made a reservation and were seated immediately. The service was great but be aware if you order all at once it may come out all at once. Pretty much everything we had was outstanding with the exception of the fish tacos. They are very spicy and salty and for me they were inedible. The rest of the table agreed. The waitress removed the full plate with two small bits out of it and we explained why but it was not removed from our bill. In addition be aware they charge 3% of your bill if you use a credit card.Dietary restrictions: Well if you are on low salt eating out in general is difficult but the beet salad may be a good choice. The fried brussel sprouts were delicious and the predominant taste was more vinegar. I would say stay away from the fish tacos extraordinarily over salted and very spicy.”
“A fantastic place to stop for some delicious tacos. The staff is very friendly and the service is really quick. The food was incredible! Some of the best tacos I have ever had. If you are in the area, Paco's Tacos is a must!”
“So delicious!! We were excited to stop here after a day at Volcano National Park based on the prior reviews, and it did not disappoint! It was wet and rainy, and we ate in our car (hence, awesome people so good atmosphere), and it was still worth it! Friendly staff and just really yummy food!”
“This is the perfect place to stop by after visiting the volcano national park. The woman who takes your order is very sweet and will explain what they have. Highly recommend!”
“Wife and I recently discovered this food truck via “happy cows” website for vegan/vegetarian food. Maybe one of the best values on the Big Island! Food is made to order - so you can get spicy versus typical “sweet” here. Portion sizes are very generous. All very fresh ingredients. My pad thai (choice of meats or tofu) was great. Enjoy!”
“The food at the cafe was delicious. The owner was extremely friendly. Very interesting art shop, to browse and shop from local artistans. Definitely recommend lunch here!!;”
“A fun stop for the novelty of going to one of the only wineries in Hawaii, and the southernmost one in the US. Nice atmosphere! Friendly staff. Unfortunately we weren’t very impressed with the wine itself. Not a bad way to unwind after a hike in HI Volcanoes NP.”
“If you are on your way to Volcano National Park and want a bite to eat before heading in or something to take with you while there then you'll definitely want to stop here. We got the tuna and turkey sandwiches. Not only did they taste good but they were stuffed to the brim! My husband and I shared one & the kids shared the other. That was plenty, plus some chips, for all of us. We wished we were closer to be able to come back and try more.”
“Great food, especially the pineapple curry, loved it! A minor hiccup occurred the day of our visit and the power was down, so wasn't able to enjoy the food at the restaurant and had to take away”
“it was a very interesting place to visit, especially as someone who is not associated with the military. the food was okay, but it was fairly cheap so no complaints. if you explore the place then youll find an arcade, and a room with a fireplace in it. around the other side of the camp is a little grocery mart which is also pretty cool. everyone there was friendly and the whole place was pretty neat.”
“Ōhelo Cafe is a Volano café that more than deserves its five stars. I had been under the impression that it was a vegetarian / vegan restaurant and boy was I wrong. My cousin has been visiting and we didn't wanna really drive back into town and so she suggested Ōhelo. I was hesitant because of what I had heard, but I knew I could find something on the menu. Well, it does serve all kinds of food. My cousin had the most delicious Bacon Guava Burger, and I had the margarita pizza with mildly spicy Italian sausage. Both items were really really delicious especially the pizza. I'm very happy to know that there is a place close to me or I can get some inventive food that tastes great. The Good: Fairly priced delicious food in the neighborhood The Bad: you can't order burgers at dinner time. And parking can be limited unless you park in the unpaved lot next-door. Chances I'll Be Back: YES! another option in Volcano. Delicious food can't wait to try more out on the menu.”
“A great place to dine while looking at a living volcano. I also like the food here. However, there is a bit of a wait at the entrance to be guided. The price isn't bad so it's not burdensome.Breakfast is buffet style only.”
“A little research told us that Uncle George's at the Volcano House was the least expensive option in the Volcano area. We went there for dinner and were pleasantly surprised. We both had the Kalua pork and some Malbec. The pork was delightful and the portions were huge. The cost was way less than the Kilauea Lodge or the Ohela Cafe. On top of all this great food we had a wonderful waitress. I have dined in all 50 states and 8 foreign countries. Cameron was one of the best I have ever had. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and very efficient. Her smile helped make up for the kind of miserable day we had. Volcano used to be a place where you could find great food at good prices. Most places have priced themselves out of budget. Uncle George's makes up for that. I strongly suggest this place- for the ambiance, the view, the food, the prices, and the service. I would also ask for Cameron.”
“Considering the location, pretty reasonable prices on the food. Specials depending on the day. We were staying on KMC on a Friday and Saturday so we had the fish and chips on Friday. On Saturday I had the teriyaki chicken and rice. Food was good! There is no waitress. You place your order at the cashier when you go in and you get a number on your receipt. When your food is ready, they call your number and you go pick it up from the chef. It was pretty busy on Friday night and the Cafe seemed a bit under staffed keeping up with the flow of people. But everyone was pleasant and all worked hard. Price includes salad and a drink. Overall I thought it was pretty good.”
“Do yourself a favor and eat at this cafe!! If you are going to the Hawaii Volcano National Park drive the extra couple of miles , it’s so worth it!! I ordered the Hawaiin Teriyaki Burger w/ fries and it was delicious! The waitress so nice and e Ruth g was super fast.”
“I LOVE Nanea so MATCHA! The best matcha in the World. My favorite is Oat Rose Matcha with touch of Honey. Mason & his team are always bringing the good vibes. Also, you get to sip amongst Native Hawaiian plants!!! A must visit spot on the North Shore, bring your dogs!????”
