“Located just a few minutes from Volcano National Park, Big Island Tea is a wonderful side trip on your Big Island adventure. Our hosts, Eliah and Cam, have a wonderful food forest that's easy to get to and they are very knowledgable and hospitable. First, we took an easy walking tour of their five acre property that features not only tea plants but also coffee, a bamboo grotto and a wide assortment of other tropical plants. We were accompanied by their ball-fetching dogs and shown their tea processing house before sitting down to a tea-tasting on the lanai. While I'm not much of a tea lover, my friends were in heaven and I had a delightful time learning about different kinds of tea and the process of curing it. I left feeling like we had made some new friends and will be taking all of our visitors there for a unique and wonderful experience.”

“Tried your place for the first time yesterday. We just moved to Fern Forest, so you're now our closest spot to hit up for a pizza fix. Guys! We feel so lucky that you're our neighborhood pizza place and just a 5-10 minute drive away because your pizza is AMAZING, the best we've had on the island so far! The flavor and texture of the dough was particularly delicious - yeasty, chewy, crispy and perfectly golden. We look forward to hitting you guys up on the regular. Also, a special shout out for Shaylene! She was so patient with our bad phone connection, and was very warm and friendly with a great smile when I arrived to pick our pizza up. 🍕 😊👍”

“Ok service and atmosphere is great as u can eat outdoors. What we lived was food. Large quantity, best taste and best price. We loved red curry, fried rice, veg stir fry and glass noodles. It’s just few min away from national park and easy to grab a lunch or dinner on your way. I highly recommend!”

“i’ve been meaning to try this place for a long time, and i’m so glad i finally got around to it! The only vegan option listed on the menu is the vegan gyro. It was really delicious. The seasoning was perfect. I believe they use impossible sausage, which was marinated in a delightful tomato sauce. The naan tasted homemade and was so fluffy and flavorful. The bell peppers and tomatoes were nicely seasoned as well. My only point of contention is the side cup of sauce— the tzatziki is not vegan, but they may still give it to you with your meal. They told me it was regular dairy when I asked. I really recommend stopping by here on your way to the beach. You can pair the gyro with a matcha from Hilo Ice Coffee next-door for a perfect beach picnic. It’s really nice to have this option in Hilo. Most of our vegan food is the same few cuisines so I’m happy I can diversify. Updated from previous review on 2026-06-18”

“Finally stopped in at this great little drive-in. First off Miko (sp) at the counter is super friendly and made some great recommendations including the lasagna and she was not wrong! Garlic toasts, big piece of lasagna and fresh salad. Also got two breakfast burgers with ham, 2 for $8 on Monday, and everyday they have an $8 special! They also have an afternoon fry and burger special for $3.99.”
