“LOVED IT!!!! who would of thought the best Mexican food I have ever had, would be in a remote village on the Big Island?I don't say this lightly.I have lived in Texas, Nevada and California.There Is something truly special about this taco truck!It must be a combination of great ingredients,Put together by great people,on a mission to make the most tasty and savory food.If You are in Pahao, and craving wonderful mexican food, PANCHOS TACOS is beyond a doubt the place you want to visit.On some days their are tables st up to sale honey, cookies and other options.Parking: in a park.Kid-friendliness: its in an area with grass for childeren to play on.”

“My favorite breakfast spot on the island. They recently experienced a fire that’s shut them down but I can only hope it’s temporary, this place is excellent. Everything from the food and service to the general vibes. I’d hate to think I’d had my last fruit plate without knowing!”

“Best food in all of Pahoa and also best bang for your buck. I often times split the 5 piece fish with my partner or my kids. The ono is particularly ono (delicious!) The pieces of fish are huge chunks and so fresh.”

“Ming’s Thai Cuisine is one of the better Thai restaurants in the Pahoa area. Pluses are indoor seating, great service and a very cozy atmosphere. The food is top of the line. My first visit I had Pad Thai. Now I am venturing out to new dishes and so far I have tasted nothing but fantastic food. Identifying great places in Pahoa lets you not make the journey into Hilo which for dinner is a game changer since that drive into Hilo can be dangerous, especially at night.”

“Sweeter miso. High in umami. Not enough tofu. But the broth is very nice. The kids enjoyed the basic California, we loved the island, samurai, and Arizona sunset. The flavors blend really well and you can tell everything is freshly made. Big rolls. Only weird part was when we found a rock hard seed in one of the rolls. It is still to go only.”

Having traveled to Thailand ?? on a few occasions, I know the authentic taste of Thai food - sour, salty, sweet and spicy. Ning’s captures these qualities and more with their Bohemian flair, blending in perfectly on the main strip in old town Pahoa. Try their amazing generous proportion of “som tum” / spicy green papaya salad. Follow it up with the spicy Thai sweet basil seafood stir fry… you will then have experienced a perfect duo that can best be experienced on the streets of Bangkok. The restaurant hours are 11am to 9pm MON thru SAT. Please note, SUN hours are 5pm to 9pm. ENJOY!”

“I love this pizza spot! Even though I'm not a person who abides by a gluten free diet, I actually prefer their gluten free crust. The pizza is also so reasonably priced. 18.99 for a large GF pizza with up to 5 toppings. What a deal! It's over $30 if you try to get a similar pizza in Hilo from a local restaurant. I'm happy to support them and will continue to devour their pizzas every few weeks.”

“Ten out of ten would recommend food was major, service was great and if I had money I go today and eat! For sure will be back! I really did love the atmosphere it's a nice vibe and the food presentation was great the calamari is so good! Wish I had pictures but I had to rep this place we have dined in once and we have ordered out before! Mahalo Nui loa for the great experience!”
