“Picked up sandwiches for home. Met the Owner, very nice and personable while waiting for my order. I learned that he makes his own Bahn mi baguettes every morning at 4am. They are super crispy and light. We frequent this place every 2 weeks. Also had the fresh spring rolls…delicious. Eat and support local!”

The servers were endlessly kind and helpful even when things were chaotic and other customers were demanding. One of the best meals we had during our stay in Hilo area”

“What a life saver this place has been for me year after year. Hot coffee on my way to work. Cold Acai bowl for a mid day snack. Smoothies for the whole family before a beach day and even delicious ice cream or Nicooco Gelato at wedneaday night market..Most importantly, everyone who works there acts as a true ambassador of Aloha..Mahalo Ashley and the whole smoothie shack ohana!”

“I don't even know where to begin. There was a small table set up with a menu, as they are take-out only establishment. As I was looking over the menu and the various items they offer, I just couldn't decide. One of the workers actually invited me into the store and turned an overhead light on and showed me the picture menu they had available. Upon looking at the picture menu, my choice was made. We got the Spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, salmon with cream cheese, and California roll. When I tell you this place did NOT disappoint, we demolished the spicy tuna and salmon with cream cheese rolls on the way home. I did manage to get a picture of the shrimp tempura and California roll before we finished it off. They are also very reasonably priced. I just can't say enough, it was freaking amazing!!!”

“Pahoa's only nightclub Hotspot! Check out their FB page to see what live music, event, karaoke or DJ is happening. Theres plenty of room in the back by the pool tables as well if you aren't that into whichever music is happening. There is some food available until 9 P.m., but mainly this is a place for music, pool, drinks, and dancing. Tables, bar, loungechairs are choices for seating and the lighting is comfortable.”

“Orchidland Kaleos is fine but the original Pahoa has better atmosphere, more genuine decor and is very charming! One of our favorite places to eat out! Coco crusted fresh catch and bbq ribs are da best!”

“Their food is very ono. Especially the other location in Hilo, Hi. Very authentic, fresh, and delicious. I always order the chicken flauta. Bomb.com. Very crispy tortilla, love the drizzle on the sour cream, and sprinkle of the mexican cheese. It also came with Spanish rice and baked beans. Not beans from a can now 🤣 These people definitely cook out of love. I also tried their elote and that was super good. Mahalo Taco Jalisco Taqueria 🫶🏾 Today was my first time at your new locations. “Wow!! So glad I went into Subway Pahoa, for a Cube Chicken cut, sandwich! The service from the male employee was ultra professional, yet unpretentious! He was patient, kind, and timely! The sandwich was exactly as I asked for, and delicious! Definitely recommend this place!”

“Primarily a take-out place for locals, but I always dine in. Big menu. Lots of variety. Service is always friendly. Limited drink selection. Prices are reasonable. It's a laid-back local place, and people are nice to each other. I love the place.”

“The service was grewt, the food was good, and the atmosphere was quite nice. The only issue I had was that the food came mislabelled (everything was there, just with the wrong label), be sure to check the burger before you take a bite to avoid any mix ups.”
