Very fun stop after hiking at Volcano State Patk. We were there right when they opened & nice young guy did our tasting. Settled on Volcano Red a blend. Glad we stopped. Macadamina was interesting as well.
Had the most amazing wine.... macadamia nut honey wine. If I could make a wine that I would enjoy, this would be it!! We got here 20 minutes before closing time after spending the day at Volcanoes National Park. This place has boutique wines and cookies and fruit butters and tea made from camellia plants. A fun stop for the novelty of going to one of the only wineries in Hawaii, and the southernmost one in the US. Nice atmosphere! Friendly staff. Unfortunately we weren’t very impressed with the wine itself. Not a bad way to unwind after a hike in HI Volcanoes NP.
