“I recently stayed at Kilauea Lodge and Restaurant and absolutely loved it! The rooms were charming and cozy, perfectly capturing the lodge’s unique atmosphere. Dining at the restaurant was a delight, with delicious food and a warm ambiance. Its proximity to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park made exploring easy, while the surrounding ferns, forests, and native bird songs added a magical touch. The well-managed, welcoming staff truly made it a memorable stay!“

“If you are at Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park and visiting at the temporary Visitor Center at KMC - Kilauea Military Camp. Stop by 10 Pin Grill to get a bite to eat some local food. Pomai was our cook and cashier. He is so acommodating. He listened to my allergy concerns and went all out to finding out if I can eat it. I ended up getting Chicken Katsu and it was the most delicious Katsu I ever tasted. It was juicy, no egg batter, since I got egg allergy. It tasted so ono...I do not need to go anywhere for great food and it is close to home here in Volcano. These guys have gotten a bad rap, but they work really hard despite the rush they have. Sometimes only working alone. Mahalo Pomai for your great customer service, he needs a raise . 10 Pin Grill is a must , especially when Pomai is there.“

“Tried your place for the first time yesterday. We just moved to Fern Forest, so you're now our closest spot to hit up for a pizza fix. Guys! We feel so lucky that you're our neighborhood pizza place and just a 5-10 minute drive away because your pizza is AMAZING, the best we've had on the island so far! The flavor and texture of the dough was particularly delicious - yeasty, chewy, crispy and perfectly golden. We look forward to hitting you guys up on the regular. “The night of the 42nd volcano eruption, we enjoyed a front window seat to the massive lava fountains! Created a great backdrop to a great meal. The restaurant is inside the very old classic Volcano Lodge; complete with wood fireplace. Staying in the lodge made it simple to have meals; we ate at the Rim two nights, one night at the more casual Lodge restaurant Uncle Georges Lounge. All meals were prepared very well.

For the first meal, we ordered a couple of Mai Tais that were nicely flavorful. For appetizers, I can recommend the Furikake Seared Ahi; gently seared with very flavorful colorful condiments. Plus, the portion was relatively generous as well.

The chef's entree special was an amazing local fish prepared attractively and tasting marvelous.

For our second night, the volcano was no longer erupting and the crowds of watchers had left so the meal was far less hectic. Did a less extravagant meal of Big Island Stuffed Chicken (great stuffing of Feta cheese and greens!) and it was a great choice. Straying from fish my partner went with the perfectly grilled 12 oz Hawaiian beef ribeye. Finished up with a fun crème brûlée with lots of burnt sugar!.

Not a restaurant to drive 1-2 hours to, but if you find yourself on the mountain, well-worth stopping for a great meal here. but try to get there when the volcano isn't erupting or you'll be trampled, pushed, and find nowhere to park.“
