“Despite how it may seem, there is tables for dine-in available. Homemade lemonade has a unique flavor, but very good. Food came out reasonably quickly. Chips weren’t too salty. Pork chops were great, especially for someone who hasn’t had pork chops before. Recommended for any size groups. Very casual Mexican restaurant.“

“I love all things BBQ and so I had to try this place. It didn’t disappoint!! I got the lau lau combo and the pork and cabbage was the most flavorful pork I’ve ever had, so good!! Hubs got the chicken lovers and it was also amazing. Highly recommend going.“

“We got the beef bowl and some shave ice and it was so good we decided to get more to go (Curry rice and Spam Musubi) and let me tell you, this place is soo good. Best Japanese Curry I’ve ever had possibly. The seating area had some friendly cats and hens roaming around which honestly added to the experience!“

“amazing spot for a light breakfast. the outdoor patio has a nice ocean view. the staff was very nice. the food all tasted so fresh, and the coffee selections were great. we had a tomato/egg sandwich, a veggie quiche, and a danish pastry, all of which tasted fresh and flavorful.“

“Visited the restaurant for lunch and the food was amazing. The staff was also really nice.
All the items that we called for were vegetarian. These are what we ordered -
1. Green Payaya salad
2. Crispy Thai spring rolls
3. Massaman curry with sticky rice
4. Thai tea
Overall everything we had was delicious and loved it all.
All in all, would highly recommend visiting this place for a meal when in Big island.“

“This Jamaican food truck next to the gas station was amazing! I ordered the oxtail rice and the jerk plate, and both were absolutely delicious. The food was mildly spicy, the sauces were full of flavor, and everything tasted very authentic. It was my first time trying Jamaican food, and I really loved it. Highly recommend tourists stop by and give it a try!“

“This is the only place open after 10pm for miles and it was packed. indoor seating only- 2 AC units inside but i think it was broken(it was warm inside) Our food took a while to come out but it was hot and tasty. Our server was very friendly. I really liked the oxtail- rice is ordered separate, get the large to share!“

“I was in Hawaii for a few days and I ate at Jackie Rey’s for one of those evenings. The food, atmosphere and staff were spectacular. Not the mention, the food layout was incredible. I highly recommend. Mahalo.“

“Located in a non-descript spot right off the beach, this is some of the freshest and tastiest poke you’ll ever enjoy. The team is knowledgeable and their service is fast and efficient. Go early as they do run out often on busy days. Seating outside is the only option on two picnic tables and no dining indoors so be prepared to squeeze in and make new friends with other customers. A great meal and well worth the wait.“

“We ate here after 12 hours of traveling and could not have been happier. The service was so friendly and outdoor seating with tiki torches and a view of the water was great. My son isn’t always the most adventurous eater but he asked to try the clams from my seafood stew and pronounced that he “loves clams more than pizza”. It was his first time trying it. He had the kid’s grilled cheese with fries, and myself and my friend had the Crabby Patties crab cakes, cocktails, fish n chips and seafood stew. Everuthing came out quickly, hot and fresh. It was just what we needed after airport food all day.“

“My husband got a ninja star roll and said this was some of the best sushi he’s ever had. The wait time said 2 hours when we first walked up, but we only got the 1 roll and only waited maybe 10 minutes, so we were really happy about that.
Definitely a must try when in Kona!“

“We just enjoyed a beautiful sunset while we sipped a Maitai. Followed by a delicious Caprese appetzer and the entrees which included Egg plant parmigiana and Aloha Chicken and Build your own pasta. “Our family of 11 dined here on July 28th. We chose this restaurant as it was close to where we would be doing the Manta Ray Swim and where others that were golfing at Kona Country Club were close as well. The food was delicious. I think we had a little of everything at our table. Sweet chili wings, fries, Chicken Teriyaki, Seafood Pasta, Fish Tacos, are just a few of the items our crew enjoyed! Oh, and the Chocolate cake was amazing! Our sever, Cherlynn (I hoped I spelled it right) was absolutely outstanding! While we were at dinner our swim was canceled. We were a little bummed but her attitude, personality, and spirit was just what we needed! She truly has the kindest soul and a great resprentation of Aloha. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Awa ( Hawaiian Cava)- was unique, it is made from the root of pepper plant . It is an acquired taste , so very glad we tried it. We drank our bowl.
CHICKEN LAU LAU- the greens , Butterfield combo was great. Kimchi being a good accompaniment. This was a good satisfying bowl of food. Comes with - purple sweet potato, greens butter fish n chicken, 2 balls of rice topped with furikake, kimchi.
Sweet potato in coconut milk- this was a disappointment. We couldn't eat it. The root veggie was bland, the coconut milk was not seasoned. I had eaten something similar to this in a luau with coconut cream and loved it. This dish here was sub par.“

“I love this place for happy hour. $2 off the mai tais, which isn't a lot, but they are sizable and delicious. Sitting by the swimming pool with the ocean in the background is the cherry on top. We got the wings with sauce on the side which were great... deep fried and crunchy.“

“During our 3 week stay we found the BEST Mai Tais and the BEST calamari here. We tried these items all over Big Island. Our server Vickie was excellent, attentive and friendly. With each visit to this restaurant wr hoped she would be there! Highly recommend this for Hawaiian ocean front dining .“
