Automatic, staff welcomes you as family. The only hotel we will sleep at, especially in the …..sorry our family secret, when available, the meals are with a lot of love & Aloha…
Great places memory’s as a child in this area. Truly Native Island girl! 🌼 I would that stay here rather than other commercial places. My GMA worked here when she was a teenager.

Manago Restaurant is a longstanding establishment in Hawaii, boasting over a century of history and a reputation for serving authentic local flavors. The restaurant has maintained its nostalgic charm, with traces of its Japanese roots evident in the simple decor and traditional dishware.
Despite the Manago Hotel itself undergoing changes, the restaurant remains open under new ownership, continuing to offer a small but thoughtfully curated menu. Highlights include the hearty and satisfying Pork Chops, as well as the standout Butterfish, which is incredibly flavorful with a complementary miso sauce. Each meal comes with three traditional side dishes, creating a comforting, homemade feel.
Customers praise the generous portion sizes, friendly service, and the fact that the restaurant has remained largely unchanged over the years, offering a true taste of Hawaii's rich culinary heritage. The fresh fish, Teri beef, and Smothered pork chops are particularly popular, and the great prices for the quality of food make Manago Restaurant a trustworthy and beloved spot on the island.
