“This is a wonderful little place, very close to Pu’uhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park. Amazing selection of poke varieties and side dishes. My wife had the Slippery Hawaiian Poke with shoyu and sesame. I had the DHawaiian Poke plus the Wasabi Poke, more on the spicy side which I like. Everything was delicious. Service was quick and friendly. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area!“

“We phone ordered Beef Nachos and picked it up at the drive-thru … it was sooo delicious! Tasty chips with melted cheese, generous portions of ingredients with slices of beef :), whole pinto beans and the spicy salsa on the side topped it off. Can’t wait to eat this again and try more dishes.“

Last time I went I don't think the server gave me a suggestion along with what I said I wanted, but the food is always good anyway.
The food and service are always good, although some cooks are better than others.“

“we got the drifter large açaí bowl (32oz, $18). it was absolutely delicious with generous quantities. i really enjoyed the nice crunch of the cacao nibs and granola. i do think the açaí base was a tad bit more watery than i prefer, but overall i’m still very very satisfied.“

“This was hands-down the best shave ice I've had anywhere in the Islands! Friendly staff, delicious syrups made from actual fruit, and ingenious holes in the tables that prevent spills. If you have always played it safe by choosing red, green, and blue, take a chance and let one of the staff select for you! I guarantee that it will make your tastebuds stand up and say,"Whoopie!!"“

Sweet potato in coconut milk appetizer
Awa ( Hawaiian Cava)- was unique, it is made from the root of pepper plant . It is an acquired taste , so very glad we tried it. We drank our bowl.
CHICKEN LAU LAU- the greens , Butterfield combo was great. Kimchi being a good accompaniment. This was a good satisfying bowl of food. Comes with - purple sweet potato, greens butter fish n chicken, 2 balls of rice topped with furikake, kimchi.
Sweet potato in coconut milk- this was a disappointment. We couldn't eat it. The root veggie was bland, the coconut milk was not seasoned. I had eaten something similar to this in a luau with coconut cream and loved it. This dish here was sub par.“
