“Been to this spot a number of times, the recent establishment is quick, due to a self serve kiosk. Good poke and probably the best brown rice I have ever had.
Parking: Limited free spots at the establishment. Paid parking lot down road is available, but expensive. There are some free spots on the road a few blocks up, but normally taken. Just plan a nice day with a stop here and it will all work out.“

“This was a great place to eat. The food tasted amazing (definitely certified ono aka delicious) and very filling. The staff was friendly and the service was relatively quick. All of the ingredients were fresh. It was very close to the ocean and local shops, and there was a bathroom inside (which was an extra bonus if you've been out and about). I would definitely recommend it to others!“

“This burger joint rescued us on 2 occasions on our Kona trip! We loved their grass fed burger, black bean burger, and fries with garlic sauce. Labor Day had limited hours but this place was open and thriving…sooo grateful we came. The second time we came we were desperate for a meal due to whacky hours for some of the local restaurants. The burgers don’t disappoint, are super fresh, and we even tried their salad and subbed with a different cheese…they were really accommodating. Give this place a try, it’s very satisfying ☺️
Vegetarian options: Delicious burger option for vegetarian husband :)“

“Recently I came across Koholā Coffee. I had no idea how reasonably priced the incredible food would be, how yummy the smoothies and other drinks are. The owner is a bright eyed beauty full of incredible Aloha and all of her staff are equally as awesome. I love whales and so does Jeannette🐋‼️ THE BEST‼️“

“USE THE WILLIE’S HOT CHICKEN ADDRESS! We used the address on the Google listing and the GPS took us in the industrial area on the other side. HiCo is located right next to the chicken restaurant mentioned above and much easier to find this way. There is free street parking.
Super cute place. Amazing coffee. We had the iced Lilikoi latte and it was one of the best I’ve ever had in my life. I also had the salmon lox, absolutely delicious. I will say while this was a great stop and we loved the coffee, we were disappointed that they don’t have more breakfast options. I saw a photo in a review with a breakfast burrito and we planned to stop here for something quick on the way to a tour. It’s more of a coffee date type spot to just chill and sip and enjoy. They even have a sign up that says “we are not a fast food restaurant, everything is made fresh after placing your order. Please be patient.” So if you’re in a hurry, I don’t recommend getting any food here, coffee only. It was served quickly.
That being said we will for sure be coming back for the Lilikoi latte before we leave town!“

“Fireart Cuisine has some of the best Asian food we have ever had! We are on a short visit to Hawaii, but we’ve already been there twice - the food is so good we had to come back! Both the beef and broccoli and the shrimp and broccoli have delicious flavor with perfectly cooked broccoli. The braised green beans and chicken (mild) was also delicious. And for desert, this was our first time ever trying fried ice-cream - delicious and so much fun! Staff are super kind and on the ball. Everyone seems to want to put out the best - for those who love great food, this little spot is an awesome find!“

“This little place is a delight to discover!
Sadly they do not have a gluten-free and or dairy- free option available.
It is a pricey little taste of pizza heaven! I could taste that the ingredients are good; it’s very much like the pizza I ate over in some smaller European countries I had the privilege to visit.
Pizza crust is thin, sauce not over done, and toppings good. I especially enjoyed the selection of cheeses; I chose the fresh mozzarella, Asiago, and Parmesano. The fresh mozzarella it isn’t shredded so it has a different appearance and taste in my opinion.
The garlic bits are perfect in taste and are still fluffy when cool!
The 12inch pizza is the biggest option.
Over all I say it’s gonna be the rare occasion to Oder food from here due to the price, but an occasion because it is SUCH a delicious pizza!
Sorry for photos of the half eaten food, but figured some is better than none!
Enjoy if you go.“
“I have always loved the smell of coffee, but unfortunately could not get past the acidic taste. Kona coffee café introduced me to Peaberry Kona coffee. This is the first time that I have ever been able to drink coffee let alone really enjoy it. The friendly staff explained how the volcanic soil and the timing of picking the bean changed the acidity in the coffee. Since being home, I’ve already placed an order and I am enjoying my coffee every morning. Thank you so much for introducing me to this amazing drink!“

“We arrived an hour early with a hungry toddler, and despite the restaurant being busy, they seated us right away in a lovely spot. The menu has limited options, but everything we tried was fantastic! The food was fresh, flavorful, and the service was warm and welcoming. Drinks were just okay, but overall, it’s a charming spot we’d happily return to!“

“Located on the 2nd floor of a tiny building. You can choose between different bowls. My husband was thrilled and fed up with it for ages. Even the small bowl is huge and you eat it forever.
When you walk down the stairs there are a few camping tables for eating.“

“Literally the best thing we had on our entire trip. Like seriously so good we went three times in a row! You can’t go wrong with anything you order everything was excellent. The flavor combinations the fixings the cornbread muffin (drooling just thinking about it) I’m telling you run don’t walk to this amazing food option on the big island! Mahalo!!!“

“Loko Wraps actually helped cater our wedding of ~50 people and we can not speak highly enough about how much we and our guests enjoyed everything we ordered! A handful of our guests loved our taco bar so much, they ended up going back to Loko Wrap’s storefront the next day for lunch! We ordered a handful of different veggie and meat fillings, sides, sauces and toppings. The ceviche, BBQ jackfruit and shoyu chicken are AMAZING. Mike was super friendly over the phone and helped us put together a delicious menu that our guests all loved. Highly recommend Loko Wraps for catering, you will not be disappointed!“
“We arrived at 4:45pm on a Monday and the restaurant was nearly full- a great sign. We were seated at a table for two and waited on promptly. The menu is extensive but we found an appetizer and two entrees and placed our order relatively quickly. Staff was friendly, efficient and our meals: pad tai, roasted eggplant and Tom ka with chicken, were all excellent. Highly recommend!“

“Sat inside at the bar and the bartender did a great job; busy but still attentive, refilling water, etc. Had a flight of IPAs and bbq chicken pizza; pizza was fine - nothing outstanding, but there’s no such thing as bad pizza in my opinion. Where I often find pizzas over-sauced, this one was a little on the dry side, but maybe I’m just too much of a Goldilocks!?! All in all I’d visit again when on the big island.“

“I can’t say enough good things about 808 Grindz Cafe. We ate here TWICE during our vacation because the food was absolutely amazing, and the flavors were spot on. Everything tasted so fresh and well-prepared. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing, perfect for enjoying a great meal with family or friends.
The prices were very affordable, especially considering the quality of the food and service. It’s rare to find such a gem that delivers so much without breaking the bank. I was so caught up in the experience that I forgot to take any photos, but trust me—it’s worth it. Highly recommend checking it out!“

“Okay I was very skeptical when this was suggested in my group. As tourists, it seemed like a weird hang. I was proved wrong. Go to the left side of the building, away from the bowling alley, and it was quieter and more diner like. The teriyaki and the pork and cabbage plates was delicious. Lots of food given! We may just be back and bowl next time :)“

“If I went there for the kava alone, I would have given 3 stars. The "potent" kava was not so potent and barely did anything to relax any of us. We bought one bowl and shared it between 4 people. I don't mind the taste, but keep in mind it that it tastes like dirt water.
The kalua pig was good and cooked just right. The garlic bread didn't have much flavor.“

“Incredible fresh ahi!!! My friend and I visited on a Sunday night around 6:30. We sat at the bar because there was a line and it was the perfect spot for us. We both got the poke flight with rice and a mai tai (not the ordinary Mai tai but HUGHKY recommend! Very boozy so beware if you do not like that but I love it). You get to choose 4 of their house pokes which are all incredible! I will be here every time I visit the island 🤙🏻 Aloha!
Dietary restrictions: Everything is fresh and can be tailored to individual needs.
Parking: Gets busy right by the restaurant as there are a ton of places in the Sam spot, but there is a parking lot right over the fence (have to walk around) that always has open spots.
Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor with wheelchair accessible ramps“
