“This place is seriously amazing. We walked in and oh my gosh the menu looked delicious. I've been in kona for a couple days now, tasted several different dishes, yet this is BY FAR THE BEST!!! I got a açaí bowl and oh my gosh, it was truely delicious. It had the most perfect amount of sweetness with delicious fruit chunks. I then got the lilikoi amazing. it was sparkling, sweet and just so perfect. We had to get seconds of it!!! The crepes where also amazing, we tried 3 different ones and they all where delicious. Wish we could eat there every day of our lives! So refreshing to go to a restaurant where you can tell they care about customers health while makeing the most delicious food. If you want a healthy delicious place, come here!“

“Quick poke stop on the way to/from hiking or snorkeling. They have plenty of choices to satisfy most of poke lovers. We enjoyed both spicy and sweet options as well as a variety of sides. The service is quick and friendly. They have a few covered tables if you prefer to eat there.“

“I had stopped by here late on my way back from black sand beach to Kona - I was super hungry and this place was lit up from the side of the road!I am SO glad I stopped here because their fish and chips was so yummy! Overall I found food in Hawaii to be pretty bland (LOL) - talking from a visitors perspective; but the food here was super good. The service and the help I got to select my meal to go was also awesome! The man and woman (probably the owner) were thorough and I was worried if I could eat that particular fish while pregnant and she assured me it was totally fine and safe! It tasted fresh and delicious ?“

“The view from the dining area is second to none and the food makes it even better. My Ono Benedict was delightful and my iced latte was the perfect way to start our drive to Volcano.Keep an eye on those geckos, though! They were quite interested in what we were doing, haha.“

“Nice place but we arrived 30 mins before close time and they already washed the floors, it smelled of clorine very unpleasantly making it impossible to sit inside. We sat outside. Took a smoothie with pineapple and avocado (loved that they allowed to switch some ingredients around without extra fee) and my husband took a cappuccino which was not so good or flavorful. Smoothie was great.“

“We have been to Sweet Journeys for their non-dairy desserts a few times before, and clearly we enjoy those. For me, the toasted coconut flakes pack a subtle but powerful flavor punch on any of the flavors I’ve tried.Today, we tried the Journey Cafe side, and ordered the Pizza Al Taglio from the Gratitude Menu. It was WAY more flavorful than I had expected. It was sooooo good. So many complementary flavors, and a little spiciness. The accompanying hummus was also among the best I’ve ever had. It made me want to try The Journey from the same menu, but we’ll have to go back for that. Of course, we followed with some dessert from Sweet Journeys next door. Just go.“

“WOW! This is some of the best local food on the island. We took the tour to the top of the mountain then went over to O’z Kitchen. Ordered every item over two days and had an absolute blast. The quality and quantity is just right for the price, the staff are like family, and the atmosphere is amazing. It is outside and does sell out quick so make sure to get there before 1PM.“

“Sooooo yummy! And such a fun place for the kiddos too. They have some games and areas for kids to play. Gelato is amazing. We had a big group, so we were able to try many flavors. I don’t know how to choose a favorite since they were all very good—toasted coconut is definitely high on the list and a must try.“

“What a beautiful property!! We loved walking around here before stopping in their coffee shop for a cup of coffee. The staff here were friendly and welcoming. Our coffee was good, but I did order a flavored latte from the menu, and it was pretty sugary. It overpowered the coffee, unfortunately. I need to come back for a cup of black coffee.“

“Excellent!! Traveling around Kona and the west island, this is a bit of a smaller town find. If you’re not sure you’ll be in the area, I’d recommend making the detour to ensure a stop!This place was featured on Guy’s Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives TV show and we totally get why. Easily our favorite lunch on the west side of the island.We enjoyed one of the burgers, some shrimp & ono curry, as well as the lilikoi lemonade. IMO the soup of the day - some sausage chowder- was the ultimate star. Could eat that by the gallon. All of it was fabulous. Even the ketchup… special and tasty. Buy a bottle to take home!Servers were busy and still made sure to take good care of you, too. Rounded out the experience nicely.“

“This was a great place to eat. The food tasted amazing (definitely certified ono aka delicious) and very filling. The staff was friendly and the service was relatively quick. All of the ingredients were fresh. It was very close to the ocean and local shops, and there was a bathroom inside (which was an extra bonus if you've been out and about). “A bit of a wait but absolutely worth it! Fish tacos were 10/10 and also got the special Guava Ginger Spicy Pork tacos. The sauces are spicy but not too spicy and just delicious. Highly recommend. Easy parking and market adjacent with good and clean bathrooms.“

I went with a poke bowl with rice, shrimp, and dynamite (not really sure all it had) but nonetheless it had a great flavor.“

“We tried Lava Flow and Cherry Blossom shave ice creations, and each was huge and very delicious. Ice had a nice fluffy texture, and the cream snow caps were good. Lava flow was a bit citrusy, I liked the cherry blossom more as it was sweet and more mellow, plus the mochi and mac nut ice cream were amazing. Three of us shared the two shave ice creations, but one would have been enough since it was so big and worth the cost.“

We feel so lucky to have met Matt and Lisa at BerryBird Coffee at the Ali’i Marketplace on Tuesday and we loved the coffee and our new friends so much we came back with the whole family on Thursday!My first visit we had the pour over grown in Hawaii, which was phenomenally smooth and rich. It left me thinking about it for the next two days.On our second trip we had pour overs of both their medium roast and a Columbian bean Matt was kind enough to share from his own personal supply! The family really enjoyed the espresso and vanilla bean latte, with the vanilla beans grown locally as well. Lisa made us a very refreshing cooler with some tea made from coffee pulp and a citrus jelly which was perfect on a warm day.We’ll definitely be back whenever we’re on Big Island! “We ate here several times during our stay in kona , food is fresh and great , one of the best options at big island . They also have great opening hours and online service . Portions were big . We would perhaps appreciate just bit more variety and fresh veggies less crisps and salt otherwise great restaurant. We also tried smoothies which were delicious . Guys at restaurant are very sympathetic .Place has a free parking and it’s quiet . We 100 pour-cent recommend .“

“How blessed to live on the Big Island of Hawai'i and be able to enjoy the best cup of coffee EVER! I've never sat down with a cup of coffee and not wanted it to end, but that was my experience with Kona Joe last week. The coffee was delicious and the view SPECTACULAR. It's not really hidden, but easy to drive by not knowing it's there. Their signage is actually good, but I confess to driving past it for several years thinking it was just another coffee field. TRUST ME......IT'S NOT. Beautiful grounds and a self-guided or scheduled tour are options as well as an awesome gift shop. Coming into Kailua-Kona from the south will definitely always involve a stop for a delicious cup of coffee and a gorgeous (and relaxing) view of the fields and bay below. Aloha!“

“You can choose to order from the set shave ice options or make your own custom flavored one. If you decide to have ice cream in it, it is hidden under the shave ice for a nice surprise. It melt fairly quickly in the sun so be sure to eat in the shade. Super tasty.Kid-friendliness: The children can choose to make their own custom shave ice to suite their needs.“
