“Probably some of the best meals I've had in Hawaii!! Ono wrap is great and the hotdog (topped with sprouts, onion and cucumber) is my absolute fav. Menu options are pretty limited and they do run out, so come early! Everything is super fresh and satisfying, and the entrees come with a selection of fruit which I LOVE. I've also gotten different fruits every time I've visited which is fun and a great way for me to try new ones. You can also get whole coconuts. The shakes and smoothies are to die for. Really really recommend any shake with mac nut ice cream in it, it's so delicious. It's a very small location, but has lots of outdoor seating and is surrounded by nice flat ground if you want to picnic it!Vegetarian options: Hummus and veggie wraps, as well as smoothies and vegan shakes.“

“This was the best shaved ice that I had on my vacation. Yes it's kind of pricey but totally worth it! Just make sure you order a good flavor. I got half strawberry and blueberry with the haupia cream (coconut whipped cream) on top which was definitely the star of the show. I could eat a whole bowl of that by itself!!! My husband got the coconut flavor with chocolate shell topping. He said the coconut flavor didn't really have much flavor would definitely not recommend that flavor.“
“Popped into this cafe and was warmly greeted by a friendly employee. Several customers were already lined up and it didn’t take long for others to join us. No pressure but two girls got our orders quickly and my chai was delicious. The pastries looked super tempting and sit down customers had only positive comments. Although small it is quite charming and welcoming. Coming back soon.Parking: A pick up spot is located directly in front of the cafeKid-friendliness: There are options for kids so parents need no worry.“

“Friendly service, super hearty and healthy meals that tasted good too. A bit too tart though (some of the pickled stuff). We had the veg burger - tasted good, but very crumbly patty. The tostada and all the fixings tasted great but it was a badly done tostada - the tortilla was not made crisp enough so it was kind of half chewy and difficult to eat.The soup that day was a tomato red pepper soup that was nice on that rainy evening.Vegan ruben with dill / slaw / swiss cheese tasted sharp.Enough options and good quality. In terms of the ambiance - basic and no frills.“

“I visited Hilo for a weekend and are here twice in that time because it was so good. I had the pesto sandwich and it was really SO good. Other members of my party had nori wraps and loved it, avocado sandwich and loved it, I can’t remember what else but also loved it. Friendly service. Clean bathrooms. And I got homemade fruit leather to bring home to my kiddos. Hopefully it makes it because I might eat it all! They also have some hats (??) and other locally made items for sale.“

“Drinks were delicious & boba was fresh & sweet just how i prefer it. The honeydew tasted like you were biting into a piece of fruit, the banana smoothie was smooth and creamy and the kumquat lemonade was a bit tangy but was still really good. Service was nice & quick! Would recommend“

“A old school drive in where the servers walk-up to your car to grab your order! Many different choices of drinks and sandwiches. We got Breakfast Bagels, your choice of many options of bagels, with egg, cheese and choice of protein (ham, sausage or bacon). However, I found they were just that. Pretty bland and simple. And we loved our lattes! Cute logo, too!“
“the Hilo Brewing Company, which has a nice selection of local beers. From the outside, apart from a few posters, this brewery is somewhat nondescript. You pass the chain link fence through the warehouse and on the left you will find the tasting room, which contains a small bar where you can enjoy the island's delicious creations. Here you will be greeted by extremely friendly people. We had “Flights of 6” at the beginning. A small tasting session of the beers available in the brewery.I thought the Mauna Kea Pale Ale was the best. MyMan the Hilo golden Al. A little hunger in between meals is also taken care of. There is a small stand in the brewery with tacos and borittos.Hilo Brewing also has a nice little gift shelf with high quality t-shirts, glasses and hats and a few other items. You can also buy the beer here to take home.“
“We didn't find a ton of great options in Hilo for dining, but were pleasantly surprised by this great spot! There was something for the fish-eating lovers, and the vegetarians, as well as some great Kombucha! Quick service and outdoor dining option.“

“I loved it!! The spice level is way better than a lot of other places I went to and was actually spicy. There were many vegetable in the Pad See Ew which we appreciated and the service was pretty quick. :)) Place is a little hard to find, we almost missed it, but glad we found it. We came in with low expectations and left with big smiles! ?“
“Overall 5 Stars: Cute little cafe to get your milk tea or fruit smoothie fix! Friendly staff and delicious drinks! Definitely a must visit place in Hilo.Drink 5 Stars: I have tried their milk tea and several of their fruit smoothies (avocado, soursop). They were all great and should be tried, but on this trip I had the Strawberry Guava smoothie which was perfect on a hot summer's day. The smoothie was blended just right with a perfect smooth consistency. The sweetness was perfect for my taste! Not too sweet but a perfect balance with the fruit.Service 5 Stars: The staff there is super friendly and the service is quick.Ambiance 5 Stars: The cafe was clean and inviting with cute decor in the wall.“

“Gluten free granola and dairy free ice cream. The bowls are as pretty as they are delicious. The music is ono and will put you in a relaxong state of mind as you sip on the Hawaiian. The smoothies are fantastic. There may be only one person working when you come so please use your Aloha spirit and be patient. I do not think they serve sandwiches anymore.“

“I really like this restaurant and if I go to Hilo again I will definitely go here, I ordered the Moco Loco's one with the pork patty and then the other with bacon, They can put the egg on top either scrambled or sunny side up, The dish also comes with a side salad, They offer two different sizes I ordered the small which is plenty of food/ the location is in the heart of Hilo, It's a very old building it's an old place, They offer a lot of different traditional Hawaiian common foods and that is the reason why I really like this place, The service was really excellent All the young girls that work there are knowledgeable and very helpful ~ which is extremely difficult to find.“

“Compared to other places nearby it’s a 4.5, compared to other cafés it‘s a 3.5 so I think a solid 4 is fair. The beverage were way too sweet and we didn’t ask for added sweeteners, we had Chai and Ube.The avo toast was good, but the bread is very flat and not what I‘d call sourdough. The smoothie bowl was good, but it did look a bit messy.“

“OMG! My 1st experience there since Piilani kitchen opened its doors, was last Saturday, 3/16/!I was bored at home when I spocked a pic of their, panini sandwiches on IG and I walked the 1/2 mile to their quaint kitchen, just inside the doors of the Onomea Country store.Once there I was immediately greeted by a vivacious young lady, Gracie, ready to take my order!I ordered tacos that 1st day and have been back 2x since !Eat there, at the tables outside so you can taste the freshness straight outta the kitchen!Bon apetito!“
