Kitchen Umeko Reviews
Take out counter with sushi and zosui. Good choice to pick up to eat at the park or beach.
Came here on a Thursday at 9:50 AM. They had lots of selections, though there were no sashimi platter or chirashi bowl type of items. Lots of maki, inari, and bento boxes. You can also order poke bowl (shoyu tuna or spicy tuna).

Damn. That fish was good. A new bar has been set. Service attentiveness and attention to detail also top notch.

Kitchen Umeko is a small, to-go only spot serving fantastic & authentic Japanese food. The menu offers high-quality bento with lots of variety, and the bento options are always changing, so there is always something new to try. Everything is well-prepared, fresh, and full of flavor. Specific menu highlights include fresh and delicious poke, large poke bowls, hijiki inari, tekka maki, gobo kinpira, mitarashi dango, and Japanese potato salad—which is the best. The sashimi is very fresh. The service is friendly and welcoming, with a fast moving line even when busy. Parking is easy and convenient, with its own lot. Kitchen Umeko is a take out restaurant, also taking orders for large amounts or party platters. After hours, they remain open to sell what is left for the day.
