Kava Republic is a cool joint in Hilo, offering a wonderful experience and soothing environment. It is the best place for kava, providing a very strong brew and a wide range of kava options, including fresh kava, kava hochata, and kava snow. They also have delicious drink options like iced kava hochata and horchata, as well as great coffee and kombucha. The space has tons of comfortable seating and a complimentary game corner.
The kava tenders and servers are really friendly, extremely knowledgeable, personable, lovely, and very accommodating. They offer great education on kava and are happy to provide samples. The vibe is perfect for easing into the day, whether cruising by for a shell or staying longer to chat with locals. It is definitely worth checking out.
