“it was a very interesting place to visit, especially as someone who is not associated with the military. the food was okay, but it was fairly cheap so no complaints. if you explore the place then youll find an arcade, and a room with a fireplace in it. around the other side of the camp is a little grocery mart which is also pretty cool. everyone there was friendly and the whole place was pretty neat.“
“A little research told us that Uncle George's at the Volcano House was the least expensive option in the Volcano area. We went there for dinner and were pleasantly surprised. We both had the Kalua pork and some Malbec. The pork was delightful and the portions were huge. The cost was way less than the Kilauea Lodge or the Ohela Cafe. On top of all this great food we had a wonderful waitress. I have dined in all 50 states and 8 foreign countries. Cameron was one of the best I have ever had. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and very efficient. Her smile helped make up for the kind of miserable day we had. Volcano used to be a place where you could find great food at good prices. Most places have priced themselves out of budget. Uncle George's makes up for that. I strongly suggest this place- for the ambiance, the view, the food, the prices, and the service. I would also ask for Cameron.“
“Perhaps the best brunch this side of the island. Maybe the whole island, IDK I don't go to Kona. But seriously, banging bloody mary's and the best eggs benny, french toast, crab cake benny, corned beef hash...excellent service too, always excellent and homey at the same time. The manager Kevin is super chill, too. Only place I go for Mother's day, Birthday, Valentine's, Xmas time drinks and walks. I love it. Oh yea, and anniversaries, father's day, memorial day, labor day. And Sundays. Sunday's are my jam here. I love it so much.“
