A little research told us that Uncle George's at the Volcano House was the least expensive option in the Volcano area. We went there for dinner and were pleasantly surprised. We both had the Kalua pork and some Malbec. The pork was delightful and the portions were huge. The cost was way less than the Kilauea Lodge or the Ohela Cafe. Chris G was our server and he was wonderful! We came here after a LONG day of hiking and only 30 mins before close. Chris was super nice and friendly which we didn’t experience in some of the other local restaurants in the surrounding towns. The pizza was delicious!! Highly recommend eating here after visiting Volcanoes National Park!

If you have no other option and want to stay in the area, this is ok. The Guava Flow drink is delicious and strong, so worth the money. The fish and chips and the fish dinner leave much to be desired. The macaroni salad was also flavorless.The poke tower starter is SMALL for the price and lacks flavor, but you’re paying for convenience of being the park.I will say, our server was incredibly nice and sweet.Also: I would try to sub out the rice, such a waste…
