Do yourself a favor and eat at this cafe!! If you are going to the Hawaii Volcano National Park drive the extra couple of miles , it’s so worth it!! I ordered the Hawaiin Teriyaki Burger w/ fries and it was delicious! The waitress so nice and e Ruth g was super fast.
Visited the Lava Rock Cafe after a long day at Volcano's National Park. The place is relatively small, sort of dive bar feel. The food was pretty basic, Hawaiian diner vibe. I had ordered the ribs which were super chewy and the sides were pretty bland. My friend had ordered the mac-nut fish which she said was good. One of the few restaurants near the national park that was open. The atmosphere was weaker and definitely did not excite me. The service was nice but a bit confused. She brought us the appetizer together with the main course and she still hasn't brought everything we ordered. The food was average. Our visit here was on March 14, 2024, around 4 p.m.
