We waited an hour to be seated at the worst table in the place. All the other tables had open windows and ocean views. We got a table with “view” of the parking lot. I got ono fish and chips and upgraded to the parmesan garlic fries. We waited far too long for our drinks, lemonade that tasted like it came from powder. When my food came the plate had the plain fries so I had to ask a second time for the parmesan garlic fries. They were made with raw garlic and were unpleasantly bitter. My ono was overcooked and dry. Definitely not worth the hype or the wait.

Great service by Danielle and a scenic table seating with beach view. Minimal wait with reservation. Tempura Roll was an excellent appetizer. 😊 A little $$, but on par with other restaurants in Poipu.

Overly priced ($18 for my 6 year olds kids chicken quesadilla), food was subpar, but service was good and location is perfect. The chicken in both my child’s quesadilla and wife’s sandwich had a funky flavor and texture. On the positive side… It overlooks Poipu Beach and there’s plenty of window seating. If the food was better I would not have cared about the asking price.

Friendly staff. Great service. Very good food. Walked across to the beach and saw the Basking Hawaiian Turtles on the shore. Excellent time. Highly recommend.
We loved our first experience at this family owned 40+ year Kauai establishment! From the welcome to dessert they treat you right and have amazing food. Yes, it's a bar vibe, but their cuisine goes beyond basic bar fare. Sunday is the Superbowl and we'll be watching the Seahawks at Brennecke's!
UPDATE: Brennecke's Superbowl Party was amazing! If you're in town for this annual tradition, don't miss out.

Super disappointing :(.
Their tap beer was ‘not working’. It was foaming. So we asked for passion fruit margaritas. Nope. It was POG syrup. Gross.
And much more expensive. The waitress was nice, and tried to do linguistic gymnastics around the issue.
Won’t be back…

The food and service were great although some items on the menu seem really overpriced. However, the food is stellar! So maybe it is worth it? Depends on how much you like food I guess! Our host was so sweet and kind, she took good care of us. Shout out the bar backs/bussers, they were quick, polite and efficient, being a barback sucks and they did a great job with a smile on. Our server was fantastic, he was pleasant, quick and very welcoming. I would recommend this place for anyone taking their family out to eat or taking out a hot date for a chill but excellent night out. Especially if the weather cooperates
