Was craving some bbq and came across this gem!! We got the pulled pork and Mac and cheese and OMG! Blown away by how insane this was. 10/10 would go again!

Dug in and forgot to take pictures! The owner was patient and kind, answered questions and was knowledgeable about bbq. Our family typically eats a good amount of protein, and this food truck was the perfect place for us to get what we needed! We ordered 1 lb brisket and 1 lb ribs. Meat was tender, fall off the bone of the ribs and super flavorful. We loved the sauce; great balance of flavors- not to syrupy, sweet, but not too vinegary and runny.
Highly recommend if you need your proteins while on the island!

Just ordered the chicken and pulled pork bbq from this place. The person working asked what type of sauce that we wanted. Instead of putting the sauce in containers on the side, he drenched all of the food in the bbq sauce. Two people in our group have tomato allergies and can't eat bbq sauce. We asked the man if he could remake our food with the sauce on the side and he flat out refused. Bad service considering he didn't even tell us that the food would be drenched in sauce. He flat out refused to do anything for us. One star for service. There are plenty of other places on the island that make better barbecue with better service.
Also, just to be clear based on what the owner said below, every other bbq place we’ve been to on the island offers sauce on the side, or at least asked us if we wanted it on our food before dousing it. You just told us after the fact that it comes that way and that you wouldn’t do anything to fix it. Also there are plenty of bbq sauces that aren’t tomato-based. Your lack of customer service, and disregard of a customer’s allergies in your response below is why we wrote this review. You won’t have to worry about our business again in the future. -mahalo

I wasn’t aware that I’d find great barbecue in Hawai’i, but that’s just what Mr. Green serves up in his Koloa food truck. The brisket, burnt ends, pineapple sausage, and potato salad was excellent.

PHENOMENAL!! If you’re conseidering this place, you HAVE to try it. The food was amazing. Cooked to perfection and the flavor was absolutely delicious. We came here for lunch and the owner was very approachable and friendly. He was sold out of the Mac and cheese, and chicken so we got pulled pork, brisket, potatoes salad and beans. It was a delight to eat here and the price was fair. He even threw in a guava drink for us. Would love to come back here. I loved the sign he had in the back.
Parking: They are across the street from the shops. We parked across the street. They have parking right behind the food trucks.

D Green’s food truck is out here slingin excellent bbq on the island of Kauai. We got a shared 1/4 lb of each meat platter with the pineapple sausage, pork, chicken, brisket and ribs with four sides. The sausage and pulled pork stood out from the rest and were our favorites!The quality and amount of food was the best we had for the price during our trip. If you need a big plate or need to feed your family, you gotta check out this food truck. We will definitely be back on our next trip to paradise.
