It’s convenient if you’re staying at the hotel and has a great view. Even if eating in at the tables, so not the pool area, you’re still getting plastic cutlery and cups and dishes though, which feels cheap especially for the prices charged.

We were looking forward to a nice meal, but it started raining after we ordered. We decided to move to the bar and I moved 2 bar stools out of the rain and on a dry side of the bar. The bar tender said we couldn’t sit there, that that area was reserved for walk up traffic. It’s dark, raining, and the pool is closed. Who is going to be ordering? I told her she could keep the food we ordered, that we didn’t feel like eating in the rain. It never ceases to amaze me how incredibly inconsiderate and petty employees can be.

The best view for any bar in the area! Food was good but not outstanding, and prices were pretty high. Staff was friendly and talkative, and the TVs were nice. I recommend for the view, the convince, and the service. There is better and cheaper food elsewhere.

It's ok. We're owners at the Waiohai and we only eat at Honu Bar if we have to. Better to go elsewhere if you want good food, especially at these prices.
Really, we can't say anything to try to convince you to eat here. It's just... meh.

But, the view can't be beat. I wouldn't eat at the bar (tho' it seems to be popular); I'd rather eat where I could take advantage of the ocean views.

Best frozen Mai Tai on the rock. It's a poolside bar and grill on Kauai, so pool atmosphere and good Oceanside views. Mahi Sandwich was great with good fries.

Went here our first day on the island for drinks and ended up getting dinner, too. The service was pretty slow, but the server was super friendly and attentive once she finally made it to the table. My wife had the mahi mahi tacos and I had the mahi sandwich and they were fantastic. We also had two drinks each, the last two were the lava flow (delicious) and mudslide (not bad, but not great). The views are gorgeous overlooking the ocean and the prices aren’t awful. For 4 cocktails and two entrees it was about $120 which is honestly one of the cheaper places near the beach.

Great food and drinks, but they will scam you if you don’t watch them. This was deliberate ordered 3 drinks(same drink each one all at the same time today). One was at happy hour price and the other two were not. Watch out! You have to hit two different buttons on the POS machine at the same order for this to happen so this was deliberate!
Delicious surf and turf cooked perfectly. Our server was awesome and it was so relaxing to have dinner by the beach. Great staff in general everyone was super nice!
