Super friendly staff...good variety of items, too!
Lots of local bites!
The sushi bar in the Kukuiula Market is a bit of a hole in the wall joint! Really great poke :)
We came here multiple times during our stay in Kauai! The açaí bowls were so yummy! The poke was amazing. I loved the poke nachos - they use wontons instead of tortilla chips and the nachos had so much flavor!
The best shave ice on the island is in the parking lot (The Good Stuff Shave Ice). We tried a lot of shave ice places around the island but none even came close to this place! They use fresh purées instead of just syrups (they also have syrups if you like them). Ours was also topped with honey and fresh fruit. Seriously this place was the best!
This store has a new opening time posted...7am
Glad to find out that “one of the last local markets” is near where I am staying. The reviewers who complained no doubt miss their “super” markets where everything is perfect. They had what I needed, and the in-house take-away food choices are fantastic. Sitting here enjoying “Poipu Paradise” acai bowl from the juice bar.
Excellent fresh poke and sushi!
Poipu poke shack
Great food in the back of the store where different vendors lease space. The little coffee booth serves terrific bagel sandwiches with some interesting items. Mine had bacon, eggs, tomato, avocado with balsamic vinegar, and a little bit of cream cheese. It was a bit messy to eat but damn it was good. The bagel itself was top notch.
Great place to great a quick juice and spam musubis for a reasonable price. They have a limited amount of spam musubis every morning so if you want a large order, you can pre-order the day before!

Maybe when I went there they were just low on stock or something but the produce was not fresh and prices were very high. The Whalers General Store is also not cheap and you can find reviews saying they are gouging tourists, which is not unture, but this place is just worse. I'd rather shop at Whalers.
Come here for the açaí bowls & friendly staff! The grocery section is limited but they still have great beach-friendly snacks and beverages 💓 I’m so glad I waited to get a smoothie bowl (poipu) here instead of the fancier / new cafes on the north shore that cost more and gave less. This was a GENEROUS portion of smoothie AND fresh fruit. Highly highly recommend if you want some refreshing smoothies or bowls!
Poipu poke shack in this market is really good. The best poke I've had in Hawaii!
Awesome flavorful poke bowl and huge sushi rolls. Very friendly. Their fish is so fresh.
They have poke bowls that a fresh and delicious! Highly recommend the spicy ahi tuna bowl!
