Glad to find out that “one of the last local markets” is near where I am staying. The reviewers who complained no doubt miss their “super” markets where everything is perfect. They had what I needed, and the in-house take-away food choices are fantastic. Sitting here enjoying “Poipu Paradise” acai bowl from the juice bar.
Great food in the back of the store where different vendors lease space. The little coffee booth serves terrific bagel sandwiches with some interesting items. Mine had bacon, eggs, tomato, avocado with balsamic vinegar, and a little bit of cream cheese. It was a bit messy to eat but damn it was good. The bagel itself was top notch.

The best shave ice on the island is in the parking lot (The Good Stuff Shave Ice). We tried a lot of shave ice places around the island but none even came close to this place! They use fresh purées instead of just syrups (they also have syrups if you like them)....
