Been there once before in the bar area, then the server was on point and made great suggestions which we ordered. Food is flavorful and comes out fast. Tonight was my birthday and the server was over occupied, rushed through the order and distinctly made greater efforts to adjacent tables. Think we’ll take birthday dinners somewhere else in the future Mahalo

Just Desserts
We ate at La Spezia twice in September 2024 and absolutely loved it! A couple of us had the fettuccine calabrese, which was delicious and huge – enough for two meals. We also tried vongole e gamberetti, spaghetti arrabbiata, short rib ravioli, and veal scallopini. We also took desserts to go—tiramisu, cheesecake, and panna cotta. All were very good. Every dish gets a thumbs up! Probably the best Italian restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. And the service was top-notch. Considering the quality, priced are reasonable. If I’m ever back in Kauai I’ll eat there again. Tip: Make a reservation if you want to get it. It’s not a large place.

Very good meal. Too bad the service is so fast. We had the cocktails and 1 minute later we already had the dishes, no time to have an aperitif in peace. Then before even finishing the dish we are asked if we want dessert. We put down our fork and we are already cleared while the other guests have not finished. And we have the addition before having thought about whether we wanted a digestive! We are far from la dolce vita and the Italian atmosphere. Really a shame because the food is very good. The place is also very noisy. Some dishes are quite expensive.

Maybe we shouldn't order cocktails in an Italian restaurant but the cocktails here tasted really awlful. My husband and I literally only took a sip of both our drinks and had to waste the rest. We ordered the short rib ravioli and oxtail pasta. It's probably the worst I've had. Oxtail tastes a bit sour - all necessary spices are there but just the wrong proportion. The only upside is food is relatively cheap here

Fresh, authentic and delicious Italian food. Our waiter was attentive but not hovering. It was quite busy so do make reservations. You may be able to walk in but be prepared to wait. Very nice wine selection too.
We had a wonderful dinner. We had the short rib ravioli and the fish special, which was Monchong. Both were very tasty. They were very busy, but our waiter was very friendly.
