Red Salt is AMAZING! My fiancé and I ate here several times while in Kauai and we had incredible meals and service every time. The sushi was to die for. Most of the fish is sourced locally. The sushi chefs are top notch. I have celiac and they made me the best rainbow roll I’ve ever had. We fell in love with Jojo, who was our server twice. She’s awesome in every way. We also became friends with Matty, who gave us tips on Red Salt’s most delicious dishes and great spots on the island. Matty’s recommendations were so spot on that we were surprised he didn’t work in the restaurant itself. He’s so personable! The manager, Jonathan was wonderful too. We highly recommend Red Salt. It was our favorite place to eat in Kauai.

My family and I had an all around pleasant experience. I had both breakfast and dinner here and it’s a wonderful, walkable option if you are staying at the Marriott. All staff, including waiters, Sage and John (I think that was his name) for each meal were very polite and attentive. Presentation was nice and the short rib on their dinner menu is massive and very tender. It visually reminded me of something from the Flintstones. Anyway, highly recommend.

We celebrated our one year wedding anniversary with dinner here. Staff was great, gave us a nice table along with great service and food. Food was delicious! They even gave us a sweet anniversary dessert.

Our dinner at red salt was underwhelming. For some reason, even though there wasn't many people there it was super loud. The price of the food was overrated for what we got. And the waiter did not ask if we wanted any sides. As our first time being there, we did not realize that the entrées did not come with sides and would've appreciated Someone telling us. We went to this restaurant because a lot of reviews raved about it, but it was our least favorite experience on the island. Would not go back.

Mayan was the perfect server for our group: knowledgeable, professional, and with a quick sense of humor! Hidden gems on the wine list (scattered amongst overpriced bottles from around the globe) made for a delightful dining experience. We'd come again...

Usually our favorite on the island. Prices and value has gotten beyond acceptable now. Food is still very good but for the price the value has declined. Hopefully, many of the good old days will return.

The ambiance was beautiful and the food was delicious although a little pricey. My date lived the Hamachi appetizer and I had the Ahi entree. Both were fabulous. It was my first time there and I wasn't disappointed. From the Valets to hostess and servers everyone was friendly and provided excellent service.

My husband and I ordered several appetizers and the lobster gnochi. Everything was delicious! Our waiter and service were excellent as well. We will definitely go back next time we are on Kauai.
Restaurant Manager couldn't be nicer and welcoming, especially since we got caught up in traffic! The resort is gorgeous. We felt like royalty. Christian our server took great care of us. The food was delicious! Definitely a 5 star experience! Will definitely be back!

Great service. I had the Mahi mahi and it was okay. Beautiful presentation but a little bland. Could have used some more of the pretty orange sauce that the plate was garnished with. My husband had the nightly special of whole red snapper and he really enjoyed his dish. The restaurant is beautiful and has a great view of the ocean.

Wonderful dinner at a charming restaurant. The pre-dinner cocktails were excellent Food was delicious - the house made ricotta appetizer was a standout and the seared ahi tuna was the best we've ever had. Approachable wine list. Service was very professional too

We had a lovely dinner celebrating our baby moon at koa kea resort and enjoying dinner at their restaurant red salt. Jojo our waitress was outstanding and even helped us come finalize our baby name! Long story short we told her my grandmothers name which we wanted to give an ode to and her niece had one of the names on our list that did just that! We took it as a sign! She even came with a celebratory dessert on top of the one we ordered. All the food, drinks (both alcoholic and not) were delicious. We would definitely be back. In fact, we decided to opt for a casual dinner at the pool bar and my husband ordered the lobster gnocchi again because he loved it that much! Highly recommend coming here for great service, food, drinks, and an overall experience.
