Our server was wonderful! She gave us space to talk, but was there when we were low on drinks. I appreciated not feeling rushed!
The experience was wonderful! We brought a friend who had never been there, so we were excited about treating him, and we were not diappointed. We were originally seated outside, but started getting rained on with the wind, so we asked to move. The service/hostess staff were so accommodating and smiley.
Second visit here and great food and service again!! Like the quieter atmosphere and tables are not too close. We'll be back again!
Jet was very accommodating with our special requests. Can't say enough good things about the food and service
We eat here every annual vacation in Poipu. We love our sushi and Stevenson's Library is known to us for it's fresh tuna, great rolls and my husband's favorite-lobster dynamite. The sushi pizza is a fantastic appetizer. Lisa, our waitress was very helpful and attentive. Oh, and the tiramasushi dessert is to die for.
We didn't know it was primarily a sushi restaurant. So I was looking for items other than sushi, so we both relished the half lobster. Don't get the broiled lobster, three thin slices for $15. Tempura shrimp were the standard preparation. Our waitress, Sharece, did not meet expectations, she was abrupt rather than helpful with my husband when he asked what bourbon they had. In addition we had to ask Trace to help us get more drinks as she wasn't coming around with offers to get us another drink. Trace was exceptional, we wish him the best.
Our wait staff was outstanding however the reception stand was disorganized and started the evening off badly. Theodore was very good. Try the lobster dynamite. Great taste large serving
Chef special sushi amazing recommended by our wonderful server Ashley!! She's the best! Misoyaki butterfish best dish of the night Host Jet was amazing!
We had six people in our party and our reservation was for 8:15. We were seated on time and then waited a few minutes for our server. (We did have someone come by and deliver water). There were several items on the menu (chefs selection) where the waitress didn't know what was being offered. We ordered appetizers - 4 miso soups and sushi pizza. They were out of miso soup. The sushi pizza was good and they brought out an extra one to compensate for the lack of soup. The rolls and sashimi were great. Again - just some slow service. We tried all three desserts - all winners😀
We had an amazing time at Stevensons Library on multiple occasions during our stay at the Grand Hyatt. The staff was always warm and accomodating. Always a very pleasant expecience. excellent espresso martinis

What a wonderful atmosphere and the food was delicious as were the cocktails! Couldn't have asked for a better dinner for our daughters last night on our vacation.
The service was very slow. The waitress did not ask us if we wanted more drinks in a timely matter, in fact so late it was pointless. The portions are very small. Great setting and food tasted good.
Overall good. Service was pretty subpar for the price (server did not ask my wife or I if we wanted anything else to drink when both our drinks were empty, and the whole meal was less than an hour because we weren't being checked on and did not feel very welcomed) The restaurant ambiance and food were good. Pricey but on par for the rest of the restaurants around. Probably won't go again on my next stay though.
We look forward to dining at Stevensons Library every time we come to Kauai. The food, like the service, is exemplary and you cannot beat the ambiance. Always the best meal of our trip.
Not a big menu. Rolls were good, selections were limited. Interesting to be serving sushi in a library bar. Nice experience
