Overall was a 4. Which was negatively affected by the Service (2) and Atmosphere (3).

Slow down!! Not just our server. We saw most of the service people racing around to some unknown finish line. For us, the frantic dashing affected the atmosphere. This is not a fast food restaurant.

Our server provided no advice or proactive help with our menu selections. She was in such a hurry, she barely came to a complete stop. Before dashing away as she was still talking. We think. The results: she got one of our orders wrong. And we had a disproportionate amount of salad from our choices.

We would have welcomed just some small insights and advice to better understand, explore and enjoy. Too late...the unknown race was on!

We had such an incredible dinner last night celebrating our friends birthday. It was everything you'd want in a small plates but amazingly delicious bites with tons of flavor type of place. I would say pretty much everything we got was exceptional. The top favorites were the hamachi crudo, french onion soup, artichoke dip (this had big chunks of artichoke (chef's kiss)), steak, lamb, and short rib special. The apple cobbler cheesecake desert was mind blowing. The lava cake was also good but the other was insane. Service was 10/10 as well

Don’t believe the sub par reviews. This restaurant is over the top excellent. We ate here 4 times in our 9 day stay in Kauai. The quality of food, service and atmosphere is spot on for what you pay. The owners are the operators and involved into taking care of he customers. Great drinks too. For sure, get the French onion soup. Best we have ever had. Fish options are great too and wine selection is awesome. Thank you Megan for being a great host and your drinks will never be forgotten!

Delicious. The special MahiMahi wrapped in Prosciutto was the best fish dish I’ve had in my life. Nice servers.

This had a ton of potential! The ambiance was nice but it was our server that left alot to be desired. While she was informative about the wine, her attitude was distracted and aloof all night. When you’re paying $150+ for a meal on vacation, it would be nice to have a waitress seem like she actually wanted to be there. The food was a B+…lacking salt and creativity. The evening was great bc I was with my new wife and the wine was great - beyond that, it was a little “meh”.

This is my favorite go to on Kauai. I get extremely excited about dinner at this fine place. Always start with their featured wine flight of the night--great way to experience wines not on your radar. I usually have their fish and pair it with the Jean Marc Brocard Chablis. My husband and I never skip out on the warm toffee for desert. Our favorite waitperson, Melia, has a bubbly personality and wine knowledge always making our dining experience exceptional.

First time having dinner here after a round at golf at Poipu Bay GC. The atmosphere was nice and cozy. We walked in with no reservations but they were very friendly and accommodated us. First up was the Caesar salad, omg!!! I’ve never had a Caesar salad with butter lettuce that just melted in your mouth. Then we had the Ribeye cooked to perfection and it came with a side of roasted vegetables. Dessert was the Lava cake to end our evening. From the constant filling our water glass to checking on how everything was. In our eyes, we can compare this restaurant to Ruth’s Chris. We will definitely be back, heard the French Onion soup is the bomb🤙.

Small and very friendly restaurant, the owner was fantastic - a small issue with food was dealt with excellently, great drink recommendations. Highly recommended!

A very good place for dinner, even if you aren't much into wine tasting. Their food menu is fairly slim compared to other restaurants, but every dish we tried was exceptional. The rib eye steak, Chicken Marbella, and Olive Tapenade were the standouts for me. Service was also friendly.

During my recent visit to The Tasting Room in Koloa, Kauai, I was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional dining experience. The charcuterie board was a standout, featuring a delightful selection of specialty cured meats and cheeses, including local options that showcased the island’s flavors. The portions were generous, making it an ideal starter to share.

The service was notably prompt and attentive, enhancing the overall experience. Given the restaurant’s popularity, I recommend making reservations in advance to ensure a seamless dining experience.

For dessert, the apple cobbler cheesecake was a highlight, offering a perfect balance of sweetness and texture. Additionally, exploring their wine flights is a must, providing an excellent opportunity to sample a variety of selections from their extensive wine list.

Overall, The Tasting Room offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it a top choice for both locals and visitors seeking a memorable dining experience in Kauai.

Great food, probably my favorite meal on my trip. They have great wine selections available in 2 oz and 5 oz pours. Friendly service. Recommend.

Had a fantastic time here. After an abysmal experience at Stevenson’s Library at The Grand Hyatt this place saved the day. Warm, welcoming atmosphere and enthusiastic welcome and exuberant service by Meg. All that and a delicious meal served quickly,
we felt so valued and appreciated. Highly recommended for a better-than-tourist experience.
