We are from Paso Robles California and I work at Sculpterra winery .. I was pouring for 3 ladies and Barb had told me that her brother owned a wine shop in Koloa .. I said we have family n friends there we will go! So went and met Dan and his wife at their store and made reservations for dinner at the Tasting Room.. we ordered sparkling wine .. the small Charcuterie board ( yum) we ordered the smoked beet salad and French onion soup.. we didn’t even get the larger bites cause this was enough ( but we saw the rib eye steak n salmon being served and they looked awesome )and then we indulged in the toffee!!We met Megan and Dani who were gracious and fun !! We had a delightful time !! You need to go!!!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Tasting Room in Koloa, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! As a wine enthusiast, I was blown away by their impressive selection of red wines from California. The sommelier was knowledgeable and helped me choose the perfect glass to complement my meal.Speaking of food, the menu offered a variety of mouth-watering options, but I opted for the lamb rack, which was cooked to perfection. The flavors were rich and tender, and the presentation was impressive. My companion's rye eye steak was also cooked just right, and the ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender. The atmosphere was cozy and intimate, with a warm and inviting decor. The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive servers who made sure our glasses were always full.Overall, I highly recommend The Tasting Room for a night out with friends or a romantic evening. Be sure to check their limited operating hours and make a reservation ahead of time to ensure a spot. Can't wait to go back!

Pocket friendly fine dine experience with limited but delicious menu. Everything was cooked to perfection. A must visit place if you are in and around Koloa. The french onion soup was definitely the best on the island as described by our server.

Underground one of the best restaurants on kauai! Excellent service / food and atmosphere. Perfect date night spot. We loved the olive tampanade, French onion soup , and expansive wine/ drink menu. The chicken was so good and my husband loved the pork special. Very good sized portions so you don’t leave hungry! Can’t wait to come back!Side note: I do wish we could make reservations online:) You need to call for a res:)

This place came recommended from a few locals... and while it is a cute spot, we were under impressed. The food was good. We expected something a bit different for the sardine starter - like maybe they'd do something besides put sardines in a bowl. The chimichurri was good, but you could hardly taste it when paired with the sardines. My pesto broiled Mahi Mahi barely had any pesto. It did have tasty cherry tomatoes with it - that were cold, which was odd given that everything else was hot. He had the Chicken Marbella and thought the deduce was interesting, and he was surprised that both pieces were dark meat. The most disappointing was the lack of wine recommendations. Since the website states that did and wine are better when paired together, we anticipated either a menu that included pairing suggestions or a wait staff ready with recommendations. The dessert was amazing. Apple Cobbler Cheesecake... delicious.

Fantastic rustic restaurant away from the resorts. We split a bottle of bottle of barbera and the small charcuterie board. He had the French onion soup (delicious and not too salty) and short rib special. I had the pesto mahi mahi, which had a yummy amount of garlic. Great food, great service, great time.

Patio is beautiful and quiet. Food was fabulous. Olive tapenade, beef, fish, apple pie cheesecake. . . . all out of this world. Good service even though they were busy. Highly recommend.

If you like martinis, not the place to go. Food is very good, but martinis are measured with an eye dropper! So if you enjoy a nice cocktail before dinner, not the place for you!

Small local wine bar with a constantly changing menu. The wine selection was great but they had good non-alcoholic options too (a non-alcoholic wine spritzer that was good).

I would give this place 10 stars if I could. This is an absolute gem and was by far our favorite restaurant on Kauai. We dined here 3 times over our 5 day stay! Special thanks to the owner Megan and server Erika for making each dinner special for us. Food can’t be beat, and the staff made it feel like home.

You’ll love your experience at The Tasting Room. The service is professional, caring, and on top of their game. The food is delicious. They’re very accommodating of those with allergens (I had a great gluten free dinner). The atmosphere is an upbeat, positive vibe. All up, it’s an awesome dining experience. My family and I felt very well cared for from start to finish. Thank you to the staff!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free: The service was very willing to work with me, and they were proactively checking with the chef. They have gluten free bread and crackers on hand. 90% of the menu was accessible to me.
