Food quality could be better with preparation. Went for anniversary. It would have been nice to receive a small dessert from the restaurant.
Les made our experience a great experience one at Tidepools. The food for 4 of us was absolutely delicious. Steaks, Mahi Mahi and chicken were cooked to perfection. The bread rolls are to die for. The Shipwreck drinks were good. The atmosphere was so perfect. I would definitely recommend Tidepools for a nice evening out.
Outstanding dinner. We highly recommend. We will definitely return before we leave to go home.
We loved the ambiance and location. Our server was great and courteous. But our fish entree was served undercooked. Kind of put us off for the rest of the meal. They did take it off of our check when we returned it. But value for our meal didn't seem there.
We love this place! We have stayed at the Grand Hyatt at Poipu multiple times and always look forward to our dinners at Tidepools. The food is delicious and the service is always top notch. But it’s the ambiance that makes this place special. No sunset views, but special nonetheless.
Macadamia Nut Crusted Mahi Mahi is my go to meal.

We had such a great experience thanks to our server, Les! He was incredibly personable and made the whole night feel fun and relaxed. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does — his energy and attention made our meal even better. Highly recommend asking for Les if you want a memorable dining experience!

An annual trek for us. We have many wonderful memories at Tidepools. We were seated @ 5:15 at a table for 2 that had blinding low angle sun prior to sunset. We were told a shade had recently broken and that was why they weren't seating the 4 top next to us? My mahi was a treat. My wife ordered the salmon and it arrived under done. Our server, Juan, took care of her dinner and also without us requesting, worked with the manager to comp us for that dissapointment. See you next year, Juan!
Such a beautiful experience all around. Service was fantastic; we loved watching the fish jump while we ate. Yummy food!

Outrageously expensive. Superb ambiance and why we come. The seafood tagliatelle was not liked by two in our party. The taste of the sauce wasn't great. Our waiter was excellent. Sorry for the price/value probably not coming back. $35 glass of wine for a wine that sells for $20-30 a bottle?
Beautiful property with a lovely setting for a restaurant. I had requested in advance a table with a nice view which we did not initially receive, but they graciously accommodated our request. Food was superb, and waiter Rob was excellent and charming!!
Tidepools is beautiful and the food was exceptionally good. My 11 year old twin boys agreed this was one of the best restaurants ever. They ordered the kids filet and some Mac & cheese. My wife and I shared the mahi-mahi, which was complicated and fabulous. Our service staff were very professional and polite but also warm and friendly. I was a perfect vacation dinner and we have already made reservations to return later in our trip.
You can't beat the ambience of the Koi fish swimming about at sunset on these beautiful grounds. The Opah was prepared perfectly with a creative sweet &spicey salsa. The coconut scallops app was perfect & the house bread unique & delicious. Service was excellent.
This is an old fashion Polynesian style fun restaurant with great service, great food and a great date night.
