While I've only eaten there once (5/18/23), I thoroughly enjoyed the 'ono (a white fish) with the lilikoi sauce on it. It was a very good and satisfying home cooked meal. That lilikoi sauce ??. Bonus - on Thursdays, a group of locals play live Hawaiian music (traditional) outside.

Took just about 2 hours for us to get all of our plates. There is only 1 person that works there. Half of items on the menu was not available/sold out and food was substituted without asking if it was ok to do so. On top of all of. that 20 percent was added on to our bill, we did have 6 people and it does state that BUT the service and food was so poor that it should've been an option.

Wow! What a find. The guava ribs were fall-off-the-bone fantastic. Huge portions. Tina is a great to chat with. Highly recommend!

While this was our 1st time, Tina ensured it won't be pur last! Great salad with papaya seed dressing, oh so fresh: taco salad that was better than ever in a lifetime and fresh Ono (caught the day before in a Ginger broth with nice sticky rice. The only thing even better.than the meal was the great owner, coolk and gracious hostess with a sweet and life affirming personality. Tina, we loved it!

Parking: Easy to get to.

What a huge disappointment. This place used to have delicious food. Now, we couldn’t even finish the meal it was so awful. Between the stale rice or the completely foreign taste of the entree, it was a toss up on which was worse. We will never go back.

Stopped by on a Saturday at 11:45am and it was closed. No sign on the door except a sign saying the hours and that they were open. ?‍♀️

We had large portion dinners...Ono fish dinner and Turkey and Ham with all the fixins. Shrimp bacon wrapped. The food was excellent tasting with home cooked feel and presentation...Don't get in a hurry and enjoy. The owner is very friendly and makes you feel at home. BYOB or soft drinks.

Oh my goodness!! This place is AWESOME Tina's food is some of the best we've ever had. And the atmosphere is great. Make sure to hit the Thursday prime rib night. So good.

Cookhouse Always a pleasure to dine here. Just as the menu says, “if you are in a hurry you are in the wrong place”. Patience is a virtue. Good food & coffee and good vibe. We love this place; our fave place for eggs and potatoes but the pancakes are delicious, too! Tina, our server, has the best disposition and a sincere smile. We always eat outside but the inside is decorated very cute! We’ll be back!

Nice lady owns the place. You should eat there and support her. When I went she did all the cooking and serving so expect a little wait for your food.

Delicious homemade food, the egg rolls were fresh, the steak and chicken is cooked to order Tina's love of food shows in what she serves.

Wish I could give more because some reviews made it so attractive but so disappointed they were closed at 1pm on a Saturday trying to go before our flight out at 4pm. We tried calling several times as suggested and seemed they only stepped away so we tried stopping by on our way to airport and sadly they were closed with no explanation....But discovered the lovely market across street. Loved friendly cashier's and section in deli and items to go so we ended up with picnic from this market across from restaurant instead!!!

We originally planned to come here for brunch, but they were inexplicably closed despite all posted information about their hours. So that was disappointing.Later, we were free for dinner so we decided to try the cookhouse again. This time they were open. The woman that runs the restaurant is nice and is pretty fast despite doing everything herself. Another minor gripe is that we could neither order our first nor our second choices for dishes due to them being out of certain ingredients. We ended up getting the chicken katsu and BLT. The sandwich and fries were fine, though the chicken katsu was rather bland and the mac salad was really salty. This was slightly offset by the portion sizes being large.Overall, it’s an ok restaurant, assuming that you’re able to catch them while they’re open and while they have ingredients.

My husband and I stopped by here for an early lunch one day when we were driving around the island. When we were there, only two other couples were there so six people were at the restaurant total in addition to the owner, who did all of the table waiting, the cooking, the serving, and the taking of phone orders (of which there were many). We were impressed at how well she handled everything, but she said she's been in business for 22 years. My husband had the rib special and I had the mahi mahi entree with rice and a salad (instead of the macaroni salad since I'm allergic to wheat). The ribs were savory and lean, my husband said. And there were a lot of them so he was quite full. My fish was delicious and the side of rice was just the right size and so was the salad. The place is CASH only so be prepared for that and also be prepared to be on island time. There's no reason to rush when you're in Molokai. It goes against the nature of the place. They have seating indoors and out so you have plenty of places to choose to dine. And the decor is fun.
