“Authentic (and only) filipino food on the island. Food is served cafeteria style and you choose what is in front of you. I'm always getting the pork and peas with every meal. Love the taste of the sauce on the rice. Dinoguan is probably the closest thing to my mom's cooking. And the katsu is always nice and crispy with a tasty tangy sauce to go with it! If you're needing good veggies with your meal, this restaurant has the best options.”

“It was our first stop for food as it was closest walk to our car park....lol. Order at the window and sit at the concrete sidewalk tables to eat. It is in town so no view but we were so hungry after the flight we didn't care. Service was friendly and we enjoyed talking to the gal who took our orders. Iced tea and water were available, and we bought lattes from the coffee shop just around the corner. The egg sandwich was good, but the wedges were amazing! Crunchy seasoned outside and fluffy inside...OMG... the ultimate wedge. Flies were a problem and the tables weren't clean so a star off. But I would definitely return for the wedges ;)”

“Wew have been here twice so far and I want to go again! The shrimp tacos are so good! The garlic shrimp are large and the buttery garlic sauce to dip in is great! The fish & chips are amazing, and there's something special in that home made tartar sauce, but I don't know what! Slowest service on the island because they make your order one at a time; so please be patient and don't bother the cook to tell her how long you have been waiting. Be patient. We waited an hour the 1st time, 2nd time was only 10 minutes...come a bit after lunch. There is a covered tent area with picnic tables so sit & relax, enjoy the chickens!”

“There are actually two food trucks here - one serves hot plate lunches and the other serves poke. I had the spicy poke bowl with sweet potato, which was absolutely delicious! They also offer desserts from both trucks - the deep fried croissant was amazing!”

“You know what it means when da plate stay HEAVY??? Brah, I going GRINDZ until I fall into a food coma!!! Lol! And that's exactly what happened after going to Mrs. K's Concession in Kaunakakai town. Mrs. K's Concession is a little take out eatery, and it is located smack between the two banks in Kaunakakai - (American Savings Bank & Bank of Hawaii). Ya can't miss it gang! Mr. K's Concession features local style grindz like - plate lunches, burgers & sandwiches, saimin, musubi's, snacks, & desserts. They also do breakfast here. I passed by this little eatery many times over the years whenever I worked on Molokai, but I guess the main reason why I never bothered to check out Mrs. K's Concession is because the lack of signage on the outside of the business. Food here is made fresh when you order it, so expect a little wait. The day I came here, I went with a Chicken Cutlet plate which consisted of two scoops rice, mac salad, & some deep fried chicken with brown gravy all ovah! Happy I ordered that plate, cuz dat plate was Maaaaaaaaaaasive!!! The chicken was deep fried to perfection, and the gravy ovah really hit da spot! After eating dat plate, bruddah man wanted to moi moi under a tree! Lol! Looking for local style comfort food? Give Mrs. K's Concession a try!”

“This little cafe was recommended by the staff where we were staying and so happy they did! The mocha was perfect and the breakfast sandwiches were delicious. The young lady behind the counter each day we went this week worked her tail off. Taking in person and call in orders, making the drinks, and doing it all with a smile and kindness was awesome. I cannot recommend this cute little cafe enough when you’re on Molokai.”

“Molokai Pizza defies the odds of staying alive after all these years. Located at the end of the Kaunakakai Wharf and the main crossroad, right next to Moloka'i Burger, it offers plenty of parking. The menu is inexpensive, simple, concise and matches what residents need: hand-fabricated pizzas, basic salads, entrees, sandwiches, burgers, a "canned" fountain of soft drinks, and daily specials. The overall ambiance is very clean, hung with decorative Hawaiian themed pictures and artifacts, with both sit down full service, and a take out counter for pick ups. It fills up quickly after 6pm with groups of families and deuces. Service is friendly, quick and polite. Between the two of us we ordered a large simple salad and medium "Molokai" pizza. The basic salad included roughly chopped iceberg lettuce with a smattering of thin-cut halved tomato slices, fat pieces of cucumber, and thick sliced onion pieces. The dressing we selected was individual packs of Kraft Ranch. Being some of the first customers on a Saturday night the freshly made pepperoni and cheese pizza came out fast, piping hot and very attractive delivered on a stand. The medium sized pizza hit the spot and was more than enough for two with breakfast leftovers. If you are seeking simple, quick, tasty and healthier food options this is a place to consider. Yes, sometimes menu items run out, but due to limited barge deliveries, inclement weather, and lack of consistent staffing, it is fortunate that the few remaining Molokai restaurants survive and flourish.”
