“This place is a gem! All of the pastries were fantastic! Loved the cream puffs and flavor combos, like the lilikoi toffee. I’ll def be back to try the bentos and musubi.”
“Delightful food in a cozy, quirky space. Had the spaghetti in a hand pie and the quinoa. Both excellent. Chunky monkey smoothie was good, too.Dietary restrictions: Wonderful to have a fully vegan restaurant in Wailuku.”
“I'm a very stingy 5 star giver. I'm also not easily impressed as I have owned 2 restaurants of my own. This place impressed me. It made me smile. The friendly greeting we received immediately showed me they wanted our business. We were taught about their menu and offerings with smiles and sincerity. For our first encounter we ordered the Fish-N-Chips.The quality and portioning of the food was better than expected. The food was served hot and fresh. It was simply delicious! The prices are good. Fair I would say! You can't expect good quality to be cheap anymore. Prices of everything went up. Prices here are fair and not gouging like some tourist traps. The place was clean. Tables, chairs, floor. Even the glass in the refrigerated show cases was clean. Clean says a lot about how this place cares about its outward appearance thus it's customer's. I can honestly say we found ourselves a little Maui gem and we will frequent this place for sure!I would recommend this place to my friends and Family as a must try!So whether you live here or are just visiting Maui, give this place a try.Tell them Lawrence the Fixologist sent you! Maholo!Parking: Parking lot is behind the building. About 12 spaces. We went off hours so lot was fairly open. If you have to find parking a block away, don't stress, it's worth the walk.”
“My favorite Thai food on island. The owners Sai and Mike are always friendly and give excellent customer service. My kids and I love their pad thai, and their dad loves the pork belly basil. The panang curry with tofu is my favorite, but also love the pad kra pow and eggplant basil. I love that they give a generous potion of veggies. The Thai ice tea and mango sticky rice are ono, too!”
“Absolutely amazing food ! I have never experienced pizza and sandwiches made like this ! Especially in Maui. We visited numerous times during our stay on Maui.Excellent service! GREAT food! And affordable prices!Definitely a must stop !”
“I'm visiting from Canada and a local I met on a trail run recommended I come try this place. Omg their BLT is to DIE FOR..so much so that I was on Maui twice in two weeks and came back to get another BLT (I normally do not double dab on vacation, so I can try new places). The second time I visited I almost didn't make it because they were closing. But they were lovely enough to accomodate one more order! The ingredients were fresh and so delicious. And the focaccia was perfect. I will be dreaming about this sandwich for the rest of my life. If and when I come back to Maui, I will for sure be coming to grab another one.”
“Had the Hawaiian, spicy, and hurricane fried poke and all were really delicious. The hurricane fried poke is however is quite filling and rich, so definitely shareable. The owner was super sweet. Plenty of tables to eat out in front although watch out for the occasional bugs. Overall one of the best pokes I've had to date and highly recommended.”
“We only came for coffee and ended up getting a strawberry smoothie and coffeeThe house says medium roast but it was strong, which was perfect for me. But others might not like it so strong.Looking at the brothers got the food looks delicious. It is a tiny place with a sweet couple. If you are here, come by and support them.”
“We have been stopping in at Sam Sato every visit to Maui since 2007; we enjoy every bit of each visit. The staff are friendly, the food is consistently good - we only ever order the dry noodles which are delicious, especially with the small bowl of broth, the beef sticks and the yakitori chicken. It is comfort food at it's best. The restaurant hasn't changed at all, and I'm ok with that, it adds to the ambiance of this local restaurant. Staff in February 2024 are so nice! The two ladies who serve tables work hard and are very friendly.”
“Very clean, fast, fresh, and friendly. Some of the best food of our entire trip. Will come back next time we visit. The owner was wonderful and helped us along the way!”
“My wife and I decided to stop by after hiking to the blow hole. All the banana bread looked yummy so we picked up a macadamia nut and a chocolate chip. Best banana bread ever. It's worth the drive even if you don't hike.”
“Although this is in a little trailer on the side of the road they get 5 stars for a delicious meal. I got a teryaki tuna and tempura combo and everything was delicious!”
“Stumbled upon this place by accident, and it was absolutley amazing.Very unassuming from the outside, it was a forced lunch choice since it had free available parking in its own lot and the rest of the streets were parked up.Walking through the front door you step into a tropical half inside half outside paradise that smells of amazing jerk chicken, the staff was amazing, super friendly and helpful with suggestions and the food was even better. We had empanadas, jerk chicken, rice, curry and a few other items and they were all 5/5 for flavour and freshness. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for an amazing lunch spot, it was one of the highlights of our entire trip.”
“Our favorite Mexican food truck in Lahaina and thrilled they reopened in Wailuku. We are happy to make the drive over to them whenever we have a craving (which is often)”
“Mahi mahi sandwich was good. Best cole slaw I have had in long time. Their side spicy pasta was fun and delicious.Must try place. Service was little slow as the place is big and workers are less. So expect a lite wait.”
