“OMG!! Amazing food. The place is very unique and give you island vibes in your breakfast. I think it should be a tourist place of its own!!We ordered stuffed bubble waffle with coconut. The stuffing was pineapple with coconut jelly chunks on top. Uff it was delicious!!We had ordered their poached egg with corn bread. Corn bread was soft and very mouth watering. I loved it so much that I took just 2 cornbread for on the go with strawberry stuffed waffle thing I guess, I forgot, it was delicious too. If you have a sweet tooth, a must try!! Must visit place..“

“Love their mini cream horns, strawberry florentine cups, bread pudding, crab and chicken salads and pies. Used to like their pasta salad, but I bought one not too long ago and it tasted sour. Possibly because it was the container on the top in a different (new) refrigeration display which is open. I had the crab cake sandwich recently with both the croissant and the grain bread. With the croissant, the sandwich was delicious. With the grain bread, it wasn’t good. The grain bread had a good flavor, but very dry and stale. Overall the food is decent, but quite pricey so not a place we go often.“

“I had the yummy hurricane rice and my husband had the flavorful Kalua Pork. Both were made fresh and so delicious. There are picnic tables behind with stunning views of Elephant rock and Kahakuloa village. Had a nice, familiar conversation with the man who took our order and his wife, Amanda, the beauty behind the menu. Wonderful people! Will definitely brave the north shore road anytime for this meal again, and will try their smoothies next time. Tip: please be considerate and respectful by driving with aloha as you pass through the neighboring villages.“

“Whole VEGAN specific menu (and great options). Also have an espresso machine and open earlier than any other nearby coffee shop. One of the coolest harbor general stores I have been in (and I live in coastal CA). The staff were super friendly and fun. Definitely worth a stop.“

“We stopped here to check these beautiful sculptures made by hand. The owners were so courteous to us. The woman was making pearl necklace. The Mr who owns the shop took the time to explain the meaning of each sculpture. They each have a spiritual meaning: prosperity, protection, family unity and more. He didn’t force to sell was just king to share the culture. They sculptures begin at $60 up to $35,000 depending on size. The jewelry starts at $20 and up.Definitely worth the stop to support the local economy and appreciate the craftsmanship, and get a refreshing coconut on the way to wherever you’re planning to go!“

“My açaí bowl virginity has finally been had, LOL! I've heard of them but never knew what they were exactly. I thought I was getting a bowl of yogurt with fruits and other toppings. Turns out the açaí is a South American palm tree and it's the berries that you're eating!THE BUSINESS:The Made In Hope Café is a branch of the Made In Hope non-profit organization that assists women and children that have been trafficked for sex. While I have yet to step foot inside the shop (located next to JB's Kitchen in Wailuku), a co-worker did a run for us.THE GOODS:Açaí BowlAvailable in three sizes, I got the regular size which is a medium. Aside from the blended, deep-red açaí berry, you also get granola, honey, fresh cut strawberries and fresh sliced bananas. One "basic" topping is included in which I chose graham crackers (others are caramel drizzle, coconut, chocolate chips, chocolate drizzle, fruit jellies, fruit poppings, marshmallow bits, mini or regular boba, mochi and Oreo crumble. They also have premium toppings which cost a bit more. I opted for Nutella. Other premium toppings are bee pollen, blueberries, brownie bites, chia seeds, condensed milk, mango, peanut butter powder, pineapple, sea salt cream and white chocolate chips.Because our bowls were delivered after lunch, I put mine in the fridge to eat the next day as I was full. Bad idea, more so for the Nutella which clumped up but softened after being out for an hour. The liquid base of açaí berries tasted like a traditional berry sauce, lightly sweetened by the honey. If you're wondering, the açaí is void of any crunchy seeds inside, so it's very smooth and not tart. The chocolatey Nutella and flavors from the fruits all blended well together, providing for a fresh, creamy and light breakfast. They also sell a variety of coffees, teas, other beverages, bagels and small food items.OVERALL:I'm not a huge fan of fruits but I really liked it. It was a very nice change from my hearty, unhealthy breakfasts!“
