Great place to stop for lunch when exploring the west side of the island. Awesome location for a food truck/ trailer with delicious food and frozen pineapple smoothies. The owner is a one person operation and does a great job. The view of the West Maui Mountains and the shore is beautiful.
What a fantastic food truck on the way to the Olivine Pools. This is the side of the island they warn you about. The roads are narrow, extremely steep drops, and they don’t have guard rails. Would I do it again…? Absolutely. I highly recommend renting a Jeep for this excursion. It’s pretty remote so there aren’t any convenience stores or restaurants. I had the yummy hurricane rice and my husband had the flavorful Kalua Pork. Both were made fresh and so delicious. There are picnic tables behind with stunning views of Elephant rock and Kahakuloa village. Had a nice, familiar conversation with the man who took our order and his wife, Amanda, the beauty behind the menu. Wonderful people!
