“We went for a cruise from Kaanapali up toward Braddah Chic’s stop. This stop came at a great time as we were looking for something refreshing.

They also sold the best banana bread we had on the island. We recommend stopping here for a sweet treat and the great views. Pearl who was leading the charge was so nice and made some recommendations for us.

We recommend this stop and enjoy the view over a nice smoothie and banana bread.“

“We hit this place to grab a quick, inexpensive bite after a long day of travel. We got great food and great service. The atmosphere is not the most awesome, but the owner and his wife were wonderful. Quick and simple. Had the hamburger steak, and I might try the Korean BBQ next time.“

“This is a regular stop for our family. A two item plate runs $13. The chow mein noodles are super tasty and portions are large. Mochiko chicken, black bean chicken and garlic eggplant are some of my favorites. Give it a try if you haven't before. The value can't be beat!“

“I don’t go to this place to eat. I cook at home. Because I belong to groups & clubs that meet at different places. I happen to go to this one on the corner of lower main st And Waiehu beach rd. In Wailuku / Waiehu. This place was clean a lot of seating available. We ordered drinks to find out they no longer carry the raspberry tea. So I ordered ice coffee. For our meeting, while ordering that their was a new item Being advertised so I asked for samples and the counter woman asked the manager if they do give samples so she said yes so she let a sample of the three items that they were advertising I thought that was really generous. Much later she came to see if we were happy with the samples. The ladies were satisfied with it . I feel comfortable in having future meeting here at this place. The work crew were very friendly. Thank you very much for allowing us to hold meeting in a clean & air-conditioned establishment . Mahalo from the Hawaiian homes Association Paukukalo board.“

“Happened to be walking by, saw how busy it was, and loved the chill vibe so I waited for a table and so glad I did. Staff is EXTREMELY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL! Food was outstanding! The breakfast burrito was 10/10! The smash burger is one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long long time. The pancakes were fluffy and full of flavor! Would 110% recommend Cafe Mambo and definitely worth the wait if they don’t have an empty table!“

“This McDonald's location is very good. It has very good ice cream but the only bad thing about this location is that it does not serve milk withcoffee. Their milkshakes are very good. Do American Americans only have cream with their coffee or do they also have milk and McDonald's is just doing it wrong. This is an honest question. The atmosphere here is normal like all the other McDonald's with seats and chairs, but the
outside is nice with all the nature. The service was kind of quick less quick than some of the other locations. I want to wait to
get our coffee was about 12 minutes in the wait for our ice cream was about six
minutes. The value was pretty expensive because the coffee was most expensive
part and their milkshake was about six dollars and it was very expensive.“

“The lady wasn't sure what she wanted to eat until she saw the BK and knew they have Impossible veggie burgers. We ordered the combo with fries and a fountain drink. We forgot to ask for cheese. The service was fast and the food came out just right for under twenty dollars.“

But like any popular trademark fast food chain, it’s difficult to stop going to buy everyone’s favorite fast meal. Back to the main reason… 9:25PM, before leaving to pick up my son from work, we all chose to order basically the same thing… three 20 piece chicken nuggets, two large fries, two large sodas, and a large slushie. Over there at the Puunene one, I never have to add extra ice because they put a good amount. On Dairy Rd, I add it so it can have a decent amount too. So, almost $56 later, and getting my son… right as I’m about to turn in, my other son tells me that the ‘I’m here’ button is gone and the whole order disappeared. 10:05PM, parked at the #1 curbside at Puunene McDonalds, I see an email stating that here was a detailed receipt of my cancelled items, that it just might take 5 to 15 days to get my $56 back depending on my bank. After the receipt, it reads, “We hope you enjoyed your experience, and look forward to serving you again, soon!” Seriously?!? I have two almost adult teenagers hungry in the car, plus myself, it was now getting closer to 10:30PM, and MAYBE it might take up to TWO WEEKS and a day for me to see my $56 back in my hands… I did NOT enjoy my experience tonight. I’m just happy that since using Venmo instead of my bank card, I got my money back right away to be able to order our meal from the Dairy Rd. location. I know that not all McDonald’s on Maui aren’t connected, but they still represent (and are the face of) the franchise. They’re the ones that are here to provide the McDonald’s service I’m sure was founded from the very beginning. And I’m pretty sure that no one who’s with their offsprings at an almost late hour and hungry, would be okay with NOT getting a reason why the order was cancelled… heck! Parked at stall 1 we watched the long *ss line in drive thru being helped and served… so my sons said to me while heading to Dairy Rd., that the Puunene location JUST DIDNT WANT TO MAKE THE CHICKEN NUGGETS. No explanation, we come up with our own explanation. Dairy Rd, I sometimes purposely skip you (even if it’ll be convenient and faster for me) and go to the other. But tonight I am the happiest I’ve ever been since last year in September. I’ll order from you guys again, and I’m sorry for going to the other one. ‘Kay, I’m done venting and eating. Now it’s 11:12PM and it’s time to leave McDonald’s. AND FYI, I DON’T CARE IF I SOUND SILLY. TRY BEING LET DOWN EVERY SINGLE TIME FOR DECADES.“

“I’ve been to JIB all over the US. With Bacon & Cheddar Potato Wedges being the culinary highlight of the menu, I tend use them as the “bar” to which I measure the quality of my order. After visiting the JIB in Kihei, that bar has been raised. Today’s order was one of the most magnificent I’ve seen in years. The wedges had 100% coverage of cheese and a perfect bacon layer. Truly delectable! The breakfast jacks were also excellent. Hats off to JIB in Kihei! I would still love to see a return of the Colossus Burger. #bringbackcolossus“
