My fiance and visited the castaway Cafe back in 2010 . It was an amazing experience. Wayne and Abba were excellent bartenders. We came back 2 years later and they both remembered our names. We are now married and in maui for 2xweeks. Hope to go back on Sunday the 15th of Feb. Can't wait to be there.
On a recent trip to Maui, we stayed at the Kaanapali Villas. For this review, I want to talk about the on site restaurant,Castaway Cafe. After a few hours on the beach, we were heading back to our condo when tantalizing smells emanating from the open air dining area stopped us in our tracks.

Their crab cake benedict breakfast is the best on the island!! If you're lucky to get a table by the water it's the best way to start the day. My only complaint is the service. I went for breakfast twice on my vacation and was completely ignored both times by my servers. Even as I was leaving the hostess looked at me and kept talking to another employee.
