I like breakfast burritos and I thought I would try this food truck. For $14.00, I was thoroughly disappointed with the product I received, mostly potatoes, some beans, and very little eggs, rice, or meat. In my opinion, don't waste your time or money.

Note: this food truck is now in downtown Lahaina! Stoked to have it over here! We have eaten here twice once for a breakfast burrito and once for the grilled cheese. Amazing because I haven't found any breakfast burritos around here. The grilled cheese sandwiches are freaking amazing! They're unique & packed with different local ingredients. On the corner of Lahainaluna rd and Waihe'e in the parking lot of the new Maui Sunriders bike shop. I believe this food truck focuses on on breakfast and lunch and may close around 2 or 3pm.

The Maui Waui Grilled Cheese is amazing!

Went to Maui in November of 2022 and Fat Boy Ron was the best food we had on our trip. We stopped in the early afternoon after the fiance and I did the Road to Hana (well we didn't make it all the way to Hana but stopped at a couple of waterfalls and had to see the rainbow eucalyptus grove). Fat Boy Ron's was set a little far back from the road but our goal of stopping at every truck stop we found in Maui was rewarded in the most delicious way possible. We started by sharing a sandwich and by the end of our stop we had finished 3 and did not stop at any more food trucks that day! Each sandwich of these sandwiches were almost perfect: The Uncle Reuben, the pastrami was some of the best I've had since I lived in New York and had access to great pastrami. His homemade sauerkraut really tied the flavors together but the addition of the grilled onions, wow, just wow. The Jalapeno Popper, great blend of flavors and while I love spicy food the fiance isn't the biggest fan. The sandwich was not too spicy for her and she loved the ranch aioli which helped cut the richness of the bacon and assorted cheeses. Classic, started off with this one to share. Read above for how it went. ALSO, Ron is a super nice guy and we spent a bunch of time talking baseball (he loves the Giants) and football as peacocks walked around and the warm wind carried the amazing smells of the girdle all around us.

I love this guy. We were looking for some grub as we embark on this Road to Hana journey and randomly stumbled upon Fat Boy Ron's Food Truck. They were making breakfast burritos in the AM and told us he'd have some tacos ready in the afternoon. The conversations and the vibes we had here we're so good, we came back a few hours later when we were done with Road to Hana. This time, the carne asada and carnitas tacos were up. They were so delicious!...and reminded us of home back in California. We even had his friend Fred, the peacock, stop by for some interaction. We didn't even have his famous grilled cheese but based on how awesome the burrito and tacos were, I'm positive they would be just as amazing. We were so full we couldn't sample it. Stop by for good chow, conversations, and an awesome view.

Stopped by fat boy Ron's for a quick bite as we were cruising around Maui for the day. Boy let me tell you this was smack yo mama good! I had the Uncle Reuben and my friend had the smokin jalapeño popper. The reuben was soooo cheesy, ooey, gooey deliciousness! The smokin jalapeño popper had just the right amount of spice and the pickle was just perfect to top it off! Stop by and have a talk with rich , he is awesome! We'll be back for sure, I'm already dreaming of another grilled cheese sandwich !

Great breakfast burritos. Came back for lunch got some street tacos with homemade salsa and Guac. They have Asada and carnitas and about 10 different grilled cheese to pick from.. added bonus there is a family of about 10 absolutely beautiful peacocks to enjoy while you wait!!!

We stopped by Fat Boy Ron's food truck on our way home from Twin Falls... it did not disappoint. That was a big, fat, cheesy, mouthwatering grill cheese sandwich we enjoyed. The crispy, cold pickle hit the spot too. Great location, nice ocean breeze with a view, and the owners showed kindness and aloha. We'll be back to try other items on the menu.
