First time to dine at this outdoor restaurant & bar. We booked our reservation based on the advertised "Chef's Valentine's Day Tasting Menu". As it turned out, the "special" Valentine's Day Menu was featured as an a' la carte menu, and you did have the choice ordering from their regular menu, which my husband did. His Ahi poke bowl was very good. I ordered from the Valentine's Day menu, which offered three, very creative drinks, two starters, two mains, and White Chocolate Cheesecake for dessert. I chose the "Compressed Strawberry Salad" with burrata cheese for my starter, which was very good. The main course, however, was a real disappointment . "Kona Coffee Rubbed Filet & Lump Crab Cake" priced at $95 sounded divine: "Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Grilled Asparagus, Kula Tomato Bearnaise and Red Wine Demi Glace." It was horrible, mashed potatoes covered the entire plate, one side with the filet on top, covered in what looked like a thick gravy. No flavor of Kona Coffee, and you could not taste any garlic in the potatoes, due to the sauce, which also half covered the asparagus in the middle. More mashed potatoes, with the Lump Crab Cake plopped on top, also covered in a thick, white sauce. The crab cake was good, to be fair, but way too much sauce that ruined the true flavors of the dish. The White Chocolate Cheesecake was delicious, as were the drinks and wine we ordered. What made the evening special was the musician, and our lovely server (can't remember her name, but she was delightful and very good at her job.) I did not complain, as I know dining out on a holiday can be risky. But as locals, not tourists, we are reluctant to go back any time soon. Sorry for a poor review, but I though the Chef would appreciate knowing. 🌺

We had a wonderful birthday celebration! Our server Tami was exceptional. She made us feel welcome, was helpful, friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. The lobster roll was incredible. The live music was great and not too loud. We couldn't have been happier. Thank you!!!

Our hostess Melinda was extremely accommodating helping find seating arrangements over several evenings for us. All the servers were very friendly and engaging. The bar has a fun vibe.

Waited for a long time, ~40 minutes, to get our entree after our salads. That to me is not acceptable especially when the restaurant wasn't fully occupied. Also our entrees were just a lobster roll and poke.

Great evening at the Hale Mo'olelo! Loved the ambiance with the lights and music! The musician was very good, friendly and came over to our table and thanked us when we tipped him. Food was really good. Our waiter was very nice, very busy with other tables. All in all a very enjoyable evening!

2nd time dinning, food is good, standard fare, Had the lobster roll which was decent, but bun could have been warmer, fish tacos, better, and the wagyu burger, good. The server was good but run off his feet, had to wait for the bill. Go for the amazing entertainment, a one man singing show, who talk story about Lahaina, and shows you the true spirit of Maui. You can also donate to the Maui Strong fund while dinning. The sunset from your table totally worth the few uneven moments.

My daughter ate here for her 30th birthday and it was exceptional! We both had the filet mignon and it was cooked perfectly. The ambience was amazing. Service was great.

Decided to go here on a whim and had a great time. Bret was our bartender/server. We sat at the bar and he was so professional, nice, and engaging. He was moving the entire time. Very quick to help and clean the seats next to us. I was so impressed with him! I had the burger and my husband had the fish tacos. All 5 stars from us. Thanks Bret!
