A beautiful place to watch the sunset and some really yummy vegetarian and vegan options. Live music was great too. TL;DR: Go for ambiance, not for the best service or seafood you’ve ever had. Despite a timely drink and appetizer order, it took repeated requests from my sister before a wine menu was brought out. The $60 Pinot Grigio (same bottle is $20 at total wine) took a long time to arrive and was lukewarm, not even close to cold despite being on ice. The frosted glasses immediately lost their frost from the temperature of the wine being poured in. Suffice to say at a 300% upcharge you expect the wine to be at least be a little chilly. The waitress, though she was very polite, only insisted that it had been in the “cooler”. (Not fridge. It was a hot day. Interesting to say the least.) She offered another bottle but couldn’t promise it would be any colder. She eventually filled the bucket with ice and cold water and after 20 minutes that made it at least palatable for my sister and cousin to consume. The waitress and eventually a manager came over to check again on the wine, which was I guess nice, but they really offered no solution and it was a bit frustrating to keep being interrupted; they seemed satisfied to leave only when my sister pasted a smile on her face and declared that everything was wonderful (clearly it wasn’t). The manager especially was oblique and entirely unhelpful. Listen, warm wine on a beach ain’t the end of the world, even if it’s unexpected for this nice of an establishment. What could’ve helped was someone saying “hey, here’s a complementary glass while you wait for it to chill.” Or, “I’ll go double check if there’s anything cold right now for you.” Nothing of the sort, just kind of hovering over and making forced small talk. My sister also asked detailed questions about the seafood dish, and then it arrived sans one of the elements she was most looking forward to (shrimp). Again not the end of the world, but if my sister asked about the dish why not tell her “Oh, and we’re out of the shrimp.” The meal cost the same despite lack of shrimp and was reported not to be worth the money. I had the beyond burger and those, the fries, and the edamame were good, everyone else liked their meals, and the chef made another of my (vegan) sisters the poke bowl with tofu instead of fish. The sunset was gorgeous to watch there and the resort is very lush. Overall, it was a great dinner — whether it was worth $700 for a party of eight (including gratuity, couple people who had multiple drinks, two people who ordered the underwhelming $52 seafood dish, and a $60 bottle of white wine that probably should’ve been comped) is probably for your family to decide.

Lovely setting with yummy food! Our server was attentive and we enjoyed the live music...and saw a beautiful sunset. We'll definitely go again!
Best bar on the Kaanapali. Jenna is a professional! You will not have a better Mai Tai anywhere on the island.

Our second night on Ka'anapali Beach and after a disappointing dinner the previous night at a next-door on-the-beach restaurant we didn't have much faith in improving at Hale Mo'oleke. And it started out rough. Servers ignored us for a good moment, enough for us to consider getting up and leaving. But we finally magically appeared from our invisible guest status and from then on it was ok, not excellent, but adequate. Then the food came and were we impressed! We ordered half orders of Poke Bowl and fresh fish of the day (Mahi) and both were plenty to eat. We also ordered edamande (sp?) for an appetizer and it was delicious. Even at half orders we boxed up leftovers for a next day snack. We give the culinary experience a Five Star rating!
Fantastic ocean view! We had a great sunset dinner. Four stars for the service as our waitress forgot to put in my husband's order so his food was delayed. Great fish tacos and poke nachos though!
Great little place right on the ocean, and next to the beautiful pools of the Westin. We had a couple Mai tais and split the fish tacos, they were yummy. The fish was breaded good and moist, the drinks were good too.
Absolutely amazing job to our server for helping me find an allergen-free item off the menu.
Junior made the entire experience! We came for our honeymoon and his drinks and hospitality were exceptional! We will definitely be back to stay at the Westin resort and spa, and to see Junior! Thank you!
Everything was great Shrimp tacos were delicious Caesar salad perfect coconut cake was a great different dessert
They keep beautiful parrots in small cages all day for entertainment. Absolutely horrific and barbaric. The birds scream all day and when you sit and eat you can hear them. Horrifying experience. You should be ashamed.

We were skeptical about eating at the local hotel restaurant, but with our stay we have a daily $50 credit so we tried Hale Mo’olelo the first night because we were tired and hungry when we finally arrived.
We were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was; especially after trying the overpriced and overhyped Hula Grill. I had the filet which was cooked a perfect medium rare and my husband enjoyed his noodle dish. We decided to go again and try something different and we both loved the fish tacos and have had them for dinner 3 nights in a row now. Maybe it’s nothing spectacular, but the flavor profiles and choice of ingredients tasted so fresh and went well together. No regrets for eating this meal so many times and ‘so close to home’ rather than venturing out every time.
Didn’t love the menu/food and the service was just ok. It’s a beautiful spot though to watch the sunset and had live music.
I just HAD to take the time to review this place because the service that we got was sooo outstanding and the food was so good! We sat at the bar and had cocktails and dinner and our bartender Jenna was by far the highlight of our visit to this place. She was so kind, funny, and attentive and made some killer drinks as well!! She really made us feel special and set our night off with the best vibes! Mahalo Jenna for your outstanding service and kudos to the chef for the yummy food!! We will DEF be back!!
Love from Liz & Crystal

Amazing meal and one of our favourites during our 9 nights. Also felt like the only place that had a truly authentic experience with the sunset ceremony.
