Having visited Maui twice, Hooked has definitely become a favorite truck. Everything we have ordered has been absolutely delicious. The Poke comes with a heaping helping of fresh fish. All of the shrimp plates are perfection. The fish and chips rivals that of New England and the British Isles. Do not not skip this food truck!

We stopped by Hooked Food Truck for a quick meal and tried the fish tacos and a poke bowl. The food was fresh and decent, though not the best we’ve had on the island. The flavors were good, we enjoyed the spicy avocado salsa with the fish tacos. Service was fine—friendly and efficient. It’s a solid option if you’re in the area and craving seafood, but not necessarily a must-visit.

These other reviewers are tripping and this place rules. Fish plate and fish sandwich are top notch and served with a hefty amount of fish. Staff was rude to you? Boohoo. What are you expecting a Michelin dining experience? It’s a dang food truck in a gravel lot. Do yourself a favor and get yourself a fish plate here.

After reading many reviews about shrimp is left with shells on , I had to review stating shrimp has shell on . Who serves shrimp with shells and sauce all over ? Hard to take off with only a fork . Sad they are too lazy to peel off before cooking . Flavor was not too bad . REMOVE SHRIMP SHELL if you want better reviews it’s that easy

Asked for what was great and got a rec for poke. It was so super fresh and flavorful!! The woman who took my order was fast and friendly - and said she’d just made the poke herself about an hour ago.
It is a substantial amount of food - don’t let the half size container throw you off!
For those thinking that this is overpriced, not sure where that is coming from. If you go buy sashimi grade tuna at a fish market, it’s $38-45/lb. And there’s easily 8 ounces of tuna in each plate, along with rice, fresh greens and seaweed salad. I felt that the pike was the market price - and fair.

Service was outstanding, even helped get my wheelchair and me unstuck it the gravel parking lot and back out to the sidewalk. Poke bowl was delicious and loaded with ahi.
Tonight, we tried the food truck *Hooked* and ordered the mahi-mahi fish tacos. Let me tell you—they weren’t just good. They were *by far* the best fish tacos we’ve ever had!
The tacos were loaded with huge, perfectly grilled chunks of mahi-mahi, fresh sprouts, cilantro, and mango. Every bite was bursting with flavor. They also came with chips and guacamole, which were great, but honestly, the tacos stole the show.
If you’re a fish taco fan, this spot is a must-try. We’ll definitely be back!

Food: Food and the customer service was HORRIBLE!!! The poke was bland with no flavor or good texture. Got a stomach ache after eating here. This place is also overpriced, 22 dollars for a small plate of poke!
Customer Service: The girl's attitude that took my order completely changed when I didn't tip. After she gave me back my card she turned around and didn't say a word. Then when I walked away and came back 5 min and asked if my food was ready she said "nope". When I did get my order I asked if I can get soy sauce and she said it's in there, which it wasn't. It was a garlic soy sauce mix in a cup. I told her I was looking for a regular soy sauce packet and she said we don't have that, but I can see over the counter that there are packets. So I had to point it out to her and then she gave them to me after "they didn't have any".
