I think maybe this do-it-yourself concept wasn't meant for us. Clearly we did something wrong because our shave ice wasn't the best. We also wished they had more natural flavors. Bummer all around...

Imagine the dense flavor of Gelato with the richness of ice cream, mixed in with those island flavors, like macadamia nut, coconut, or ube, and you have an unique local classic you won't find elsewhere. They also serve classic shave ice with a self-serve syrup bar for you to concoct your own combinations. Our server was friendly and patiently allowed us to sample almost all the flavors without making the slightest fuss. It's a family business with just a few tables, but there always seems to be a small crowd hanging out here. Across from the cannery mall, it was spared the devastation of the Lahaina fires. While Ulalanis and Lappert's remain closed, this is the place to go.

This is the place to go! My son wanted shaved Ice so the shaved Ice with the flavor dispenser so that he can choose his own flavors was impressive and delicious. We had ice cream, which they had an impressive array of flavors. I had the mint chip and almond joy, delicious. When we come back to Maui, will have to stop by island cream Co again. You won't regret coming here.

We took our family of four to Island Cream based on it's glowing reviews and were not disappointed - it was the BEST shave ice on the island! Our kids got the self-serve Glacier Ice and mixed about 10 flavors each in thier cups. My wife and I got two scoops of Island Cream, and really enjoyed the local island flavors like ube, coconut poi, and haupia. Next time we'll have to come back for the Pineapple Cream!

The hand made ice cream was excellent. A great variety of flavors & they allowed you to taste as many as you wish. We have been there twice on this trip with friends . Everyone enjoyed their cones or cups of ice cream.
