Good blackened fish sandwiches, burgers and fries.
Eclectic and divey vibes with lots of paintings and other objects hanging from the ceilings and Polaroids and writings on the walls.
Great time at Java Jazz! Live music every day at 7:00. We had the delicious bread pudding! Very friendly crowd and upbeat reggae style music. Better for adults, leave the kiddos w the sitter. =)
Eclectic atmosphere, Good music, good food, great service. When we are on island I always try and stop here to grab breakfast if not dinner, drinks and live music. The staff and owners are great!

I wish I could do a half star more on the food. So ask for help when ordering. I had the mahi mahi catch of the day and it was Excellent. The Lemon Pesto was superb. The hamburger was just a burger and so was the Shrimp Scampi. Plus - when the waiter asks if you want a specific tequila for your margarita - PICK ONE!
Atmosphere was very eclectic and service was top notch. Family is everything here.

Team hustles hard to get out food and drink. Product is consistent and good. Atmosphere can be a little oppressive for daytime dining.

We went to Java Jazz on a Saturday night around 7 pm and were seated right away, which was great. We were looking for something a bit different from what we had already experienced at Whalers Village and thought this would be a fun change of scenery for the night. The place was very lively and energetic.
The food was a mixed experience. Two of my sons ordered steaks medium rare and medium, but both came out well done and overcooked. They were pretty disappointed. I ordered a chicken quesadilla, and that was actually very yummy. My kids also substituted fries for two sides, but only received one order of fries and were still charged the full price- just disappointing.
The drinks were okay. Not very strong, but not weak either. What really caught me off guard was the automatic 15% gratuity added to the bill. This was never mentioned, and I only noticed it when reviewing the check. I am very glad I caught it before paying, as that could have easily been missed.
The vibe was not a great fit for our family. Our teenagers did not enjoy it, and it definitely felt more geared toward an older crowd. Unfortunately, the biggest issue happened as we were leaving. My husband felt something on his arm, and it turned out to be a medium-sized cockroach. That was pretty gross and really put a bad ending on the night.
Overall, the atmosphere was lively and we liked the idea of trying something different, but between the overcooked steak, surprise gratuity, and the cockroach, we would not return. (Cockroach picture attached)
Amazing decor and great food options for Christmas Day breakfast. The art work and decor inside is much better than the more touristy places around here.

Food awesome, vibe excellent, great music so why two stars? Well, server (Italian female) was great experience initially until it was obvious they (our server and another server) wanted a table turn. Totally made things very awkward. We felt that vibe so decided to get prepared and closed our check in advance and literally as we just finished our last sips of cocktails she whispered to me people are waiting for this table and I thought I had heard her wrongly, so asked her to repeat. Well, we heard her right the first time (Seems we are not the first to call this out in a review). Pretty disrespectful especially since we tipped 40% on a fairly large tab. We are here for another week and my hard earned money will be spent elsewhere.

Just finished up breakfast here on our last day. I wish we would have found this spot sooner, it’s so much better than so many of the tourist traps we found ourselves in for breakfast. I got the steak and eggs and it was cooked to perfection. My husband got the eggs Benedict and it definitely did not disappoint. The service was amazing the owner actually served us and was so genuine, and HUSTLED. I cannot recommend this place enough. We will be back on our next trip!
