We started with cocktails which we amazing. I had mango mojito my husband had the special markers mark whiskey made for Roy's. Not sure about the brand. It had ginger beer too. Both drinks were great. Appetizer was coconut shrimp. Tender and flavorful. Dinner was Mac crusted ono and mamas Yama meatloaf. Both were on point. Too full for dessert. I felt as if a lot of the staff had worked there a long time. They had confidence and a ease in performing their jobs yet were on top of their game. No slacking. The guy who served our food was picking it up and moving fast to deliver it but took time to explain what we ordered. We will be back!!

The food and beverages selection is rich and of high quality! The location of the restaurant is really nice since it's overlooking the golf course. The interior of the restaurant could be modernized or at least styled up.

Brightly lit and with an odd view (at night anyway) of the road it is not a particularly interesting or relaxing interior. In my opinion multiple TV sets above the bar do not make for a fine dining experience but the prices surely would indicate otherwise. The food was good, not great. For my money the Roy's in Kauai is a much nicer experience.

Michael along with a few other servers were AMAZING! The best food we had in Maui and the best service we experienced in Maui as well. We wanted to go back every night. Could not recommend this restaurant more!!

Three of us had the fix prix meal served between 4-5pm and it was amazing: delicious calamari Caesar salad, salmon and braised beef paired with scalloped potatoes, assorted vegetables. Dessert was chocolate cake with raspberry coulee. Perfect from start to finish. Go early and enjoy every bite!

Had to wait to be seated even though the restaurant was practically empty. No one remembers our servers name bc he didn't tell us. Server seemed frazzled and unsure of himself. It took him an hour to take our food order and that was only bc I asked him if he wanted to take our order. Good was pretty good but 2 of our guests ordered the highly recommended (by server) Ono but the fish was EXTREMELY dry and overcooked. Our server removed the charge for one of the fish which was a nice gesture. Overall I think most people in our party of 6 were not impressed by the food nor service at this Roy's. Sad because Roy's has always been a go to for our family every time we visit Oahu or Maui.

We've been to Hawaii seven times. Been to Roy's on every visit. Even went to Roy's many years ago on an anniversary when we had one in Austin. Hands down this was the worst experience. Awful. My wife hates seafood but I drag her to Roy's every visit because the butterfish is by far my favorite seafood dish. Well, it *was*. What I got tonight was NOTHING like what I've been served in the past. Tonight we also ordered the potatoes gratin for the first time. Really liked those. Waitress was very pleasant and attentive. Wife got the ribs (very dry) from the appetizer menu (gratin was her side). For two mai tais, one beer, one salad, a rib appetizer, the gratin and my butterfish our bill was almost $200 after tip. We've been here almost two weeks. Started at the Four Seasons for a week. Spent a night the night in Hana at the Hyatt. Moved in to the Westin Resort for four, before extending our trip for a week at the condo we currently inhabit. We've had maitais everywhere in this island (Spago, Duo, Maui Brewing, Monkeypod, first class flight on Hawaiian airlines, Leilani's, etc), including Joey's on the way to Roy's which, sorry Joey, looks like kind of a dive— Joeys have been the best and Roy's the worst. Hands down on both fronts. Roy's Ka'anapali looks like a Pizza Hut turned into a Lion's Club banquet hall, the menus were black ink laser printed on white paper, there's no decor to absorb diner chatter, baby crying and other noise so it's really loud. Roy's had fallen mightily from what it once was. For $$$ the value is absolutely subpar. Looking forward to Joey's this weekend.

Food and service were fine. Not much in the way of atmosphere. It''s upstairs in an old golf club with a nice view of the greens, but does not look like it's been updated for many many years. There are so many great restaurants on Maui i don't really see how this place hangs on, but I suppose they have somewhat of a natural audience in the golf club members or golf players that give them a lot of regular customers.

For some reason this Roy's looks like it's closed. If I hadn't found availability on Open Table, we wouldn't have known it was open. The entrance is blank, not well lit, and not welcoming. The interior is completely without color and is lit like a cafeteria. Service, however, was charming and excellent.

We've eaten at them all- Mala, Plantation House, Merrimans, Dukes, etc. Roy's is the best of them all. While it's view isn't the ocean it more than makes up for that with great service and fantastic food

Great location. Has an old country club/coffee shop vibe, but food and service were excellent! One of our steaks was not cooked to order and our server and restaurant manager had a new plate made with a perfectly cooked steak and didn't charge us for it. Overall, a really delicious meal. I would visit again!

Been in Maui for a week, we have gone to all the popular restaurants. Merrimens, sansei, plantation etc. Our experience at Roy's tonight topped them all. Sure Merrimens view is phenomenal but the food at Roy's was top tier. We had the seats ahi (best we've ever had) calamari( best we've ever had) had a couple of great above average mai thais as well as amazing entrees. This was an amazing experience and our waitress was so kind and attentive. Please eat here, you won't regret it!

Great food and very nice and attentive staff. Our service was courteous, and funny! We split the salmon and the Butterfish, both were cooked perfectly and ample sized servings. Wine by the glass could have a few more options, but satisfactory. Overall great experience!

Roy's is known for their food and once again that's where this restaurant shined. Beautifully prepared fish dishes well plated and accented by exceptional sauces. Attentive wait staff and a good wine ? selection. Interior is austere with no views to the ocean/sunset. Go for the food!
