I took my kids to Maui for Labor Day weekend in 2022, and we stayed in Lahaina and came into Lahaina Town every day to visit Lappert's Ice Cream just for shaved ice and Dole Whip. We came every day for 5 days in a row. We loved it so much. We walked around eating that lovely Dole Whip and shaved ice and walked under the Banyan Tree and walked through The Warf shops and all through Lahaina Town. We love that town. We had plans to come back this year. My heart breaks for all of the people who lost their loved ones and their homes and businesses. It's not right. I've been donating to grassroot causes. I love Maui and it's people. You will rebuild. You are strong. ❤️

Great Dole whip, and great location! Perfect to grab a snack and then stroll by Front Street and see the banyan tree! Was there 2 weeks ago, so sad to see it's gone now. Hope it is rebuilt.

Awful. Employees were almost annoyed we were there, vanilla ice cream tasted flat and watery, and each of our yogurts had a massive vacuum in the middle leaving us without a substantial amount of product that we had paid for. I understand they are busy and in a central tourist spot, but sad at the level of service and product.

One of the top things I indulged in during my vacation in Maui was the Dole whip! I got an extra-large in a waffle cone and enjoyed every lick and bite! I shared 1 spoon with my daughter and 1 spoon with my friend, but the rest was all mine! I was in pineapple heaven and could have honestly consumed more than just 1 extra-large cone! It took a bit of self-restraint to not get a 2nd cone! It was absolutely delicious! The Dole whip in California is just not the same....My daughter and friend opted for ice cream because they wanted to try the local flavors. I had a taste of each and the ice cream really great!Originally we were going to get shaved ice but our attention was diverted when we saw Dole whip and ice cream. My only regret was not getting my 2nd cone! Oh how I wish I were still in Maui right now....The service was quick and friendly. There were no tables and chairs, but that wasn't an issue at all. We enjoyed our sweet treats as we walked along Front Street towards the beach.

Can you even go to Hawaii without getting a Dole Whip? We couldn't! This Lappert's location serves ice cream and shave ice, but most customers go for the Dole Whip which is offered in several ways. You can get it plain, topped with fresh pineapple, in the form of a float (with pineapple juice) or even in a tiki glass if you wish. This tiny red shop on the corner can't be missed! When we arrived in the early afternoon, the line was spilling onto the sidewalk.A majority of customers seemed to order the Dole Whip "single cup" ($6.25) which is pretty small for the price. There was a sign under the main menu displaying the extra large Dole Whip for $7.95. It was at least 30% bigger than the single cup which I'd consider a great deal for a little more than a dollar. This is the closest to pure pineapple bliss as you can get... super refreshing, an ideal sweetness and perfect for the warm weather. Employees were able to help two groups of customers simultaneously, but we ran into a bottleneck when paying since they only had one working kiosk at the time. It was fairly warm in the shop so our Dole Whips slowly started melting after being dispensed, but luckily they mostly retained their soft serve form. We took our cups down the block to Lahaina Banyan Court, although we were already halfway done eating by then! They were just too good!

Kids had to have Lappert's- kind of overpriced for a mediocre scoop (not great flavor and kinda goopy) (but comparable to everything on front st) for a cup of vanilla ice cream with sprinkles ($~$7). But my nieces loved the fresh pineapple offering and the poet gooey pineapple cake in a cone. In the heat this is a must. But I wouldn't recommend eating at the bench out front bc it's very warm; instead head to the banyan tree for some shade and a breeze!

where you’re going to get your Dolewhip!not too sweet, tart, and just a staple that you got to have.

Whip Replacement Lapperts has been serving up ice creamy goodness here in the Hawaiian Islands since 1983 and now has nearly a dozen locations throughout the islands. The Good:*For those who've lived in a closet all their lives, Dole Whip® is a dairy-free, fat-free, gluten-free, and conflict-free pineapple sorbet that's served out of a soft-serve machine. It's essentially dried pineapple juice and water, with some additional stabilizers. It's the perfect island treat, as you not only get a taste of the islands (i.e., pineapple) but it's served cold, which is perfect for those warm island days. Fun fact: while many think Dole Whip was created in Hawai'i, it was actually first made in my hometown of San José, CA at the Dole Technical Center! (:*While the Dole Whip is great, their ice cream is even better! Smooth, velvety, and packed full of the good stuff. This is what ice creams should taste like! *Housemade waffle cones. #NuffSaid*Prices are pretty good for what you get and for the quality. The Meh:*Service was OK but nothing special. The Ugly:*Parking in Downtown Lahaina is kind of a pig-fuck, to put it mildly. It's almost better to just go straight for the paid lots rather than waste your time driving up and down the street looking for free parking. TLDR: Fantastic ice creams and delicious Whip. There is not much more one needs in life, really.

Very small Lappert's store at Lahaina front street close to the harbor. Their ice cream is simply outstanding!!

We love this place! We come back every time we are in Hawaii! Great flavors and variety of options. Friendly staff and clean establishment! Definitely recommend Kauai pie, paniola, and caramel coconut macadamia.

The pineapple dole whip with FRESH PINEAPPLE is a must. The pineapple pieces on top makes it delicious. The extra pineapples add texture/flavors that enhances the ice cream.
