Love Longhis, Kaanapali! With Old Lahaina Town Longhis, gone, they have a location now in Marriott in Kaanapali. We had Easter Dinner there on the beach. Atmosphere is great, with nice views of the beach, ocean, and sunset. Food was great, service was fairly good, but because close to beach, there were some kids running around in bathing suits, no shoes to visit with their folks who were also sitting around our table. Not just one instance but a couple tables, had same experience. We were dressed up for a nice Longhis dinner, so did not expect the casual bathing suites. Food was good; service was a bit erratic, likely due to lack of enough help. First time at this location. I would return for the view and cocktails...perhaps dinner also...just not so formal dress next time for us.

Stunning sunset, food was the best meals we had in Kaalapani, Gerry took such great care of us!!!! She was truly awesome. Calamari, clams, ceviche, ahi steak, Longhi’s fish all can’t go wrong. Thanks Gerry!!!

The artichoke was not what I remembered. Had to send it back. Undercooked and too much lemon. I was also shocked at the bill. 2 doubles does not mean 4 singles. Less materials and water and labor are needed. The music was the best part of the evening. Please bring Shell Ya back!!!!'

We were a bit hesitant about going to an Italian restaurant while in Maui but we remember going to their old locations many years ago and really enjoyed it. We were pleasantly surprised, the location at the Marriott was really nice and the food was really good. Most of our party opted for fish when was prepared almost with a Hawaiian/Italian fusion. Everyone. Really enjoyed their dinner and the macadamia nut pie for desert, was the perfect way to end a great dinner.

Came highly recommended and it was kind of disappointing. The calamari was good but the artichoke in butter was flavorless. The ahi was good but both pasta dishes which were very generously served were not good at all. Service was pretty good and the place is nice as it's right next to the beach.
We arrived 30 minutes early before our 6:45pm reservation and were told to return. We arrived back and stood in line for another 10 minutes. We were seated next to the bar. No water, or utensils were present at this dark table. After the waitress finally arrived she took our drink orders and promised bread. No bread for another 15 minutes and still no utensils or napkins were delivered. We had to finally flag down another waiter to assist. Our food order was finally taken and we ordered salads to share along with appetizers. These arrived yet we still didn't have utensils napkins or plates. Had to flag down another waiter. Our waitress finally came back and said she was “very busy” while we had been languishing for over 30 minutes. The food was delivered fairly promptly after that but the red sauce was overcooked and chicken undercooked. No waitress to follow up. When she delivered the bill she announced that the service tip had been added. No apology. Nothing. We will not go back. Avoid this restaurant.
The preparation of food was superior in the past....it was acceptable but just okay. Quite costly or two drinks ...$32..a bit Greedy I'd say Could be they are one of the few places Close to hotel

I don't know where to begin. The positive was our server Attie. We shared calamari and it was not good. Our Kula greens (the salad we ordered) we limp and wilted and the ends of the lettuce were brown so it was obviously old. My husband ordered the shrimp pasta and I ordered the clam linguine. His sauce was quite bland and the shrimp were overcooked and tough. My clam pasta was as if they dumped the pasta water in the dish and loaded the linguine in with a lemon and some parsley. I bit into two clams and thought I might get sick. It was just water, linguine and bad tasting clams. The food was beyond terrible. The bathroom was unacceptably dirty. Not sure how they keep their doors open.

5 Stars! Longhis on Kaanapali beach is one of the most beautiful restaurants to enjoy a sunset dinner. The Ahi bruschetta Carpacio was so fresh, it melted in my mouth. Delicious. The Shrimp Longhi has been my go to since we've been coming to Maui for 40+ years. If you like shrimp+garlic+lemon+other deliciousness you won't be disappointed. Waiting for the opening for brunch again! Top Maui favorite!

Longhi's is justly famous in west Maui, and their oceanfront location is an added plus. The pasta is delicious, the artichoke is spectacular, and we had an extremely competent server. The excellent service is an improvement over their downtown location before they moved, and sets Longhi's far above many other Maui restaurants post-fire. The only thing Longhi's has lost through the years is value: a simple dinner for two cost us $232 with tip, which is a bit steep even for Maui. The main courses are about $10 overpriced, the antipastis about $5. However, kudos to Longhi's for not yet adding a kitchen tax, which is running 2.5 to 4% at other restaurants. The only surprise on our bill was a "liquor tax" which I have not seen before on Maui. It was only $0.60 on $81 worth of drinks, which hardly seems worth their trouble.
