The Pan Fried Mahi Mahi was one of the best fish dishes I've ever had. The vegetable accompaniment and the sauce made for great flavor and texture. The stir fried vegetables isn't your everyday mix of carrots and potatoes but a wonderful mix of bok choy, bean sprouts, tofu, rice and other good stuff along with a delightful ginger sauce. The service was excellent and prompt.

Loved being on Front St again. My fish sandwich was just okay, fries were great. Great atmosphere, with being right on the ocean and splashing up onto the floor a bit. Be sure to reserve a table next to the window in advance!

The food and ambience was great. I didn't like the service much. Even if the tables are empty, they will make you wait. I had to ask multiple times at the front desk to give us the table and she finally gave the same empty one after 15 mins wait for nothing.
I felt it was a bit biased towards white guests.

I've been to Mala several times for brunch/breakfast and have never been disappointed. We love sitting on the patio. I appreciate that they have several gluten free options to choose from that are very tasty. I highly recommend Mala and encourage making reservations to be sure you get a table.

Lovely little restaurant in Lahaina. Menu offers a variety of delicious choices, including appetizers, salads and dinner options. We started with the calamari, a salad and an old fashion cocktail for me. For dinner, husband chose the stir-fry and added shrimp and chicken, I chose the pork shank which cane with purple sweet potato mash and green beans, not to mention was dairy and gluten free! Both dinners were filling and delicious.
Our table was ready when we arrived. We loved being outside with views of the waves crashing. Perfect! Ellen our server was delightful. They were covered up but she made us feel like the only people she was taking care of. We had catch of the day-MahiMahi-fresh and delicious. It was a fun lunch in a local type setting. Thankful for all the smiles after a very hard time for this community. We will go back.

We had a great brunch at Mala Ocean Tavern. I ordered the fish sandwich which was delicious. My husband had french toast with fresh berries, yum! The neighboring table next to us the folks ordered eggs Benedict and it looked fantastic. We paid with cash as was the recommendation I read on various Facebook posts, that way they do not lose the 3% that credit companies charge. Make a reservation!

Such a great experience at one of the restaurants recently restored after the devastating fire in LaHaina. However no sympathy intended as they have come back stronger and better. Way to go guys and gals. Our meal and experience was exquisite.
