We adopted this restaurant and typically ate there 2x per week when visiting Maui. The pesto pasta was wonderful and was the sleep and craft salad. We sure hope they will reopen somewhere after the fire that destroyed Lahaina.

The atmosphere is relaxing but a bit dark. The food is delicious and staff are really great!!!Kid-friendliness: There’s a lot of space for strollers and it’s an easy going place so the kiddos can be kids.

Baked NY Penne was best penne ever. Enjoyed their beets and the owner was a great host. They had a great selection of wine and even had small bottles of prosecco. The menu was not extensive but had everything an italian place should have.

Fanfrickentabulous! We are gluten free and this establishment knows what that means. Fresh ingredients, different cooking utensils! Amazing! The GF pizza crust was amazing! Highly recommend! The owner is amazing too! Did I mention that this place is amazing!

Food was good not great. Ate it all b/c we were craving pasta. Caesar salad was great. Fettuccine Alfredo and chicken Parm were just ok. Red sauce should be married with sauce. A little more effort on seasoning(aka salt) could make this spot a real gem especially considering its location.

Ordered through DoorDash. Got the pesto linguine, add garlic shrimp, and the clam sauce spaghetti. Absolutely fantastic! Their addiction of garlic ahi is also well worth it!

Really great little place just off of Front St. Its never crowded, and is a lot quieter than anything you'll get on Front St. The food was great, and the outdoor seating option is very nice with lots of shade. The staff was very helpful and courteous, I will be coming back to this place.

If you like spicy, tasty food get the penne puttanesca. It was spot on. The kids loved the baked penned with pink sauce and the NY style baked pasta. It was hot and cheesy. The goat cheese and mushroom pizza was thin, light and tasty. Overall great, reasonably priced Italian food. We got the chocolate mousse for dessert. It was thick and delicious ?

Times visited: 1Was VERY impressed by the friendly staff, the taste of the food, and the atmosphere of the establishment. Prices were high compared to the mainland, but the experience was enjoyable enough to rate it and regard it highly. Recommended!Came here with my father and we enjoyed a nice quiet meal of some really delectable pasta! My dad got a Caesar salad with the fettuccine alfredo and a chicken add in, while I got the baked penne and we both shared a garlic mozzarella cheese bread.Of the Caesar salad, my dad said it was "good" with no extra notes.Of the fettuccine alfredo with chicken, my dad said he prefers a thicker sauce but enjoyed the taste and the noodles.Regarding the baked penne, it came in a ceramic bowl and it stayed hot the entire time which was awesome, kept the cheese all melty the whole course of the meal. It was also amazing when I dipped the garlic mozzarella bread into it. But the taste was really good and I finished my entire plate.I do have to say the show stopper is the garlic mozzarella bread. Good heavens! That is incredible. It would be worth it to go back here and just to share one of these with a friend. It is absolutely to die for and when combining it with the different sauces of the pastas that really elevated the experience to a completely new level. I will dream about that bread. Please get it.Overall I would recommend the establishment. Like I said I'm not very keen on the prices ($65+ for two people). They are MUCH higher than I would like and much higher than I think is fair, however, at least the food was delicious unlike some other establishments that I've been to while in Maui that had overpriced food and did not have the taste to back it.Thank you Penne Pasta Cafe! I hope to return with my family. Thank you for the excellent meal!

Overall, it's just: meh... The cashier was meh... the atmosphere was meh... the food was meh... the hard part is: it really has the potential to be so much more. Each of our meals were just ok. Even though they have pasta in the name, it wasn't like they were experts in their craft. The atmosphere has some neat paintings but no theme or consistency to them. And the tables and chairs kinda suck. With a tourist trap price point, it made everything just that much more underwhelming.Vegetarian options: Whole they did have a vegetarian option, you came into a pasta place...Parking: Parking sucks. - plain and simple. Be prepared to park blocks away.Kid-friendliness: This place is kid friendly. There is nothing to be concerned about, even for youngsters.Wheelchair accessibility: It is wheelchair accessible

This restaurant was cute. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table which was super quick for us. We ordered the garlic bread with cheese, penne pasta, and nicoise salad. We thought the garlic bread was good, a little more well done than we would like. My salad was delicious, the penne was a little watery but still good. Overall, it was a great meal before our drive and hike to Haleakalā.Vegetarian options: They have vegan mozzarella as an option.Parking: There is free street parking and a paid parking lot across from the restaurant.

This little restaurant served a great meal. We had baked pasta, butternut squash and a green tossed salad. Enjoy a glass of white wine. Nice clean restaurant with casual indoor or outdoor dining.
