The butterfish was exceptional. Didn't need the onion on top though. My husbands filet mignon was cooked perfectly also did not really need and sauce on it. All the sides were good and it was a quiet early dinner we really enjoyed. Used to go to Mamas fish house but they just lost their touch a couple years ago. . The crème brûlée was the perfect ending
I loved Roy's when I visited 15 years ago. It was a high end experience with great food and ambience. Our experience last night was very different. The menu had great offerings at very reasonable prices. Our server was very personable but there were very long delays in getting each course ordered. The barbecue ribs were amazing as was the seared ahi. The butterfish literally melted in your mouth and had been marinated in the most delicious soy based sauce. The portion sizes...
The miso glazed butterfish and cioppino were the best meal we had in West Maui. Roy's was so kind to acknowledge my birthday and also surprised me with a delicious celebratory dessert. A special thanks to our wonderful waitress, Cindy, she was professional, efficient and kind; a true gem. Thank You!
