I was introduced to RVN as they catered a graduation party we attended.

All of the food was pretty good, but with a twist.

For instance, a dish that I thought was pork & peas, I was told could’ve been “igado”, as it had garbanzo beans mixed in rather than green peas. I really hope I wasn’t eating any organ meat…

Next was pancit, but it was done chow mein-style, meaning it didn’t have the traditional flavors.

For dessert, the lumpia was stuffed with possibly cassava and not banana as it had a chewy/sticky texture akin to mochi.

The rest of the fare was textbook, including giant shrimp tempura, a sautéed beef selection and chicken katsu. I’m not certain if they supplied the spicy ahi pokē but if they did, I loved it!

Great places for Filipino food. Our restaurant, Lahaina Fish Co., used their catering service as a way to thank our employees and it was a big hit! Everything was hot, delicious, and made you want to load your plate with more and more. Wings, pork adobo, pancit...all the greats were represented and done well. MAHALO RVN!

Delicious Pinoy food of Ilocano origins. Bloody, bitter, pickled and pickled very good. Sinigang no sampalo tamarind unlike renditions from Pampanga etc. Local plates too but most customers looking for Pinoy grinds. Will return next visit home.

Best Filipino food in Lahaina. Fast, delicious, not terribly expensive, and authentic. The credit card machine can be a little funky, best to bring cash. The machine wasn't working the other day when I went, but the owner let me enjoy my lunch on good faith that I would go to the ATM down the street and come right back as promised and I did. Hard to find places like that now a days.
