Best spot my husband and I ate at in Maui! Everything on the menu is super flavorful — you can’t go wrong. We loved it so much, we went back twice. Wish we found it sooner!

The best food west of Maui.

Great menu, food was good, our server was great (Romano). Not the best location, no alcohol allowed for patio tables, which sucks, but hopefully that's a temporary thing!??? The bar and downstairs areas I have a great ambience (4 stars) and energy, but the upstairs feels like they're sticking you in a closet (3 stars), so we probably wouldn't eat up there again. We had two pizzas, 3.5 & 4 stars and two pastas, also 3.5 & 4 stars. Service 4.5 stars. Our ambiance upstairs could easily be improved with some dropped pendant lighting directly on over tables or a much cheaper... individual charged lamps or candles on each table. Prices a little high for what it is, but hey, it's Maui (3 stars). Overall value 4 stars...give it a shot! 🤙🏼

As a maui resident I’ve been eagerly awaiting the reopening of Sale Pepe. Increíble and authentic of Italian in Maui!

I was really looking forward to eating here. Unfortunately, it did not turn out to be good at all. We are from the Pasadena area, so we are used to having a lot of great restaurant options but I would have to recommend you skip this place as the pizza and meatballs we tried were both absent of any flavor at all!

I was excited to try some high quality, real Italian pasta after seeing the venue and the prices but the food was forgettable. We tried the ravioli plate of the day and the ravioli with speck. Both were lackluster, and in my opinion were too oily.

The service is what lead me to give 2 stars. The hostess was very kind but our waitress was testy and brought a very confrontational attitude into the mix. We just wanted to enjoy a meal together after a long day and it felt like she always had to be standing over us and harshed the vibe.

Food too oily and cold. Our waitress was very talkative and didn’t let us enjoy our time there. Very pricey for low quality.

This restaurant has the best margarita pizza I have ever tasted in my life (better than the mainland, better than Italy, better than Japan). Highly recommend! Do make a reservation. Limited seating, but worth it!

Excellent food and service, though prices are on the high side. Good wine selection, but the vintages are much more recent than stated. At peak hours, the restaurant is quite loud. Reservations required.

Mix review on this restaurant. Monday night and we were sat around 30 minutes after walking up. Quickly ordered and some of the food came out. Salad was good, and the rice balls were delicious. But the waiter forgot about our drink, when she brought it over the ice was melted in the cup but she opened the bottle and poured it anyways, Causing it to be watered down. Then for some reason they turned on super loud music on the patio halfway through our meal which was odd. But fine. Then we waited for our pizza… and waited. And waited… it took around 40 minutes after we finished the appetizers. She said the pizza station was backed up but other tables got them just fine. I think she forgot to ring it in. Anyways the sausage on it was super lack luster but the crust was good. I think we’d come back for the food the service just sucked.

We are so happy this place has recovered after the fires! It serves the best Italian food and wine on the island and beyond.
