5 stars for the service, Chris is a delightful waiter! The food was yummy, we loved the scallop roll, eggplant appetizer, and more.

We spent $350 at this restaurant and it was not worth it at all. It started with a hostess (Briana) who very rudely told us that there were no outdoor tables available, even though we had made our reservations for outdoor section of the restaurant and we could also see that there were 3 empty tables. After much back and forth, she grudgingly agreed to seat us outside. Our waiter Nick was good, however our drinks did not arrive until after our food was served and after we reminded him. Food itself was mediocre, tasted barely OK but not worth the price they are charging for it.

Chris was sure to make our experience incredible. His recommendations and overall positive attitude was such a welcoming experience to ensure our dinner was incredible. I cannot wait to come back here and experience the atmosphere and flavor we were able to get here. You see the pictures, but you have to experience the flavor yourself to truly appreciate the craft they are providing. I will come here anytime I visit Maui again.

Sushi was excessively salty for no reason. Extremely over hyped. 10/10 would not recommend. I’ve had better at Asian grocery stores in California.

This used to be one of our favorite stops every year when we came to Maui. Two years ago, we came and were very disappointed in the quality of the food. We decided to give it one more chance this year and we're pleasantly surprised, and although the food was good, the selection seems to have been greatly reduced. Our server was excellent, but explained that they have six chefs and two kitchens which they always have had, but with this explanation, he said that the food would come out when it's done. So no timing of appetizers first, salad next, etc. So we ended up with nearly all of our food within a five minute span which prevents Eating the hot items that we ordered first before being cold. Our entire experience at the restaurant was 50 minutes. Certainly not a relaxing laid out dinner. Given that the restaurant was nearly empty at 6:30 on a Saturday, which to us was very surprising given past experiences there, I don't know why they felt they had to rush us so much.  For those wanting to experience the restaurant. I would suggest ordering your appetizers first and not putting in your full order. Let the waiter come back and ask what else you would like. This way you won't get all your food at one time.

Our reservation was at 8:15. They closed at 8:30. They totally ran out of rice. Minimal compensation.

Delicious sushi and so reasonably priced! We got 8 slices of toro for $45! Usually in CT that would run you $80! Service was fast ... sat down at 6:45 and out of there by 7:45! We were happy because we were tired from travel.

The food was very mediocre. We had 5 small plates and one dinner entree. Of the six things ordered 4 were marginally average and two were inedible. The service was prompt and attentive but very inauthentic. I do not see how this place stays in business given the food quality. I would discourage diners from wasting an evening here.

The food is not as good as in the past. The fish tasted too fishy so we sent it back. Very disappointing.

The service was horrible. Chris, our server, just plopped down our food, we we're rushed, plates stacked on each other. We've been going here for 10-15 years and this was the worse. I wonder if they sold or changed hands. If not, maybe they should.

Everything at Sansei is wonderful! The food is always fantastic and our waiter was very attentive. We have been coming to Sansei for years and it never disappoints.

Food was great, as always! Our sever, Justin, was excellent. Never have had a bad experience here.
