Sansei Seafood Restaurant & Sushi Bar

Don’t believe what the drivers tell you on the way to the Ritz in Maui. This is not the best sushi. The General Store on the property had better quality.

Cold saki was served warm.

Over all give it a pass.

Our favorite restaurant on Maui. We've been coming here for over 15 years. Always consistent. Always exceptional.

It pains me to write this as I was a loyal Sansei customer, living on Maui, we drive from upcountry to this location! This place was amazing a couple years ago but has gone down hill dramatically. The food and service here used to be 10/10 , we ate here about a year ago and food was not the same, maybe a 5/10. I chalked it up to maybe them having an off night and decided to try again for my wedding Anniversary on Friday evening. The place was slow with lots of open tables, when it used to be hard to get a table here. Our server was amazing for the record! About 20-30 minutes into eating I started feeling very sick. I was so sick by the end of the meal that we had to leave early. I had a very difficult car ride home and threw up shortly after arriving home. I have never been this sick from eating at a restaurant before. My husband called the restaurant to try and speak to a manager, the host who answered the phone refused and said the GM would call us. The GM never called. If you remember this as a good restaurant, it has changed alot and not worth getting sick eating here or spending an anniversary or birthday here.

Good Hawaiian sushi/roll. Known for their sauce , rolls are tasty with the sauce. The takan roll and sansei is very nice.

Great service! Food was spectacular! We called ahead early in the day for 7pm dinner reservations. Was not too crowded at all, and service was phenomenal.

Great food order more sushi for 50% during happy hours. Get there between around 4:30 and you should be able to get a table. It’s okay to order more and take it home. The only thing is that all food and drinks there is a mandatory 20% tip that is included.

We have been going to Sansei's when we visit Maui since the late 1980's. Their sushi rolls are wonderful and we really enjoy their fresh sashimi appetizer. The service is excellent. My seafood pasta dish was a little bland this time which was unusual. But we will continue to patronize the restaurant when we are on island.

This restaurant never disappoints. Our waitress was great. She recommended the crispy brussel sprouts and it will be a favorite. The rolls and butterfish are always good but don't overlook the veggies. They do great sauces.

Was a little warm inside. They have no air conditioning and not many windows open, just 2 doors. The hostess was kind of angry, didn't smile, wasn't friendly and said goodbye without even looking up. Food was good but not great.

I love this restaurant! It's my favorite. Everything is great. Ahi panko crusted roll is a must and the red dragon roll. You must finish with the Carmel apple dessert (and this is from a chocolate girl).

Absolutely the Best Sushi and Specials. Megan is a Fabulous Server and always fun to catch up with her on our visits

Poke was great. Everything else was underwhelming, unfortunately. Seat was also dirty with food remnants but only discovered as I got up to leave after dining...and we were the first seating group. Just a sad experience. But the poke was good.

Excellent sushi here probably the best in this area. Even duck bread was delicious but you don't like sushi.

Megan was our server- she had great suggestions for us to try. The meal was outstanding as was her service!

Amazing quality sushi and great servers to help you select dishes. Sunny was our server and he was amazing and very knowledgeable.
