Nice basic little Starbucks. A very expensive little Starbucks. I don't recall getting charged $2 to blend my drink in the past.

Overall it's a beautiful property and the staff (most) are friendly & helpful. I loved the benefit of being in the Hokupa'a Tower and would highly recommend that option if you're staying there. It places you closer to most of the amenities, upgraded rooms & lanai with included food & drink options offered throughout the day make it worth it. There were two things that I found to be disheartening.1) Most of the outdoor furniture was dirty. Sometimes it was bird poop, sometimes it was an indistinguishable stain, oftentimes, it was multiple stains. I couldn't understand why such a nice hotel wouldn't clean or replace such disgusting chair or couch cushions. I saw this on the furniture on our room's personal lanai as well as throughout the property at restaurants, lounge areas, etc. When I shared about the dirty cushions on our lanai, they immediately came up and removed the cushion covers, washed them and brought them back clean. But, I shouldn't have had to ask...they should be doing that on a regular basis. And it was very clear that these cushions hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Plus there were still stains that I guess couldn't be washed away on them. 2) The resort offers you a hospitality room to shower/freshen up on your last day if you have a late flight. I thought this was a wonderful amenity, especially since check out is at 11am & our flight wasn't leaving until 7pm. That meant we could hang out at the beach or pool or do another tour and before heading to the airport, then shower and change before a long 12 hour flight. I didn't realize that these hospitality rooms would be dirty. It was clear that they did not clean the rooms in between hotel guest usage. There were dirty towels on the floor, used beds and used showers. We were condescendingly told to deal with it, as it's a free amenity and they didn't have time to clean in between.

Love this villa style resort. Staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant at the pool has amazing food. Room was always clean and updated. You have to request housecleaning 24 hours in advance but at the time of check in we told them we want daily cleaning, to avoid the daily request; and it was honored. Pool was relaxing. Lounge chairs were hard to get but I feel that’s a usual for most resorts. We would definitely visit here again.

I love the property, although the restaurants are lacking so the best and only options for good restaurants are in Lahaina. We all know of the horrific and tragic fire that has destroyed Lahaina and I would not recommend this property any time soon. In fact I have a pre-paid reservation for early next year. I called with a simple request to delay the reservation. I was told I could cancel WITH NO REFUND or come at the reservation date, not exceptions. This is truly the worst customer service attitude I have ever experienced from a Marriot / Weston property. While I would like to recommend this property and or the Marriot Vacation club I would never do either after this experience.

Truly a magical experience. The beach is the most Beautiful one I’ve seen in my life and I’ve traveled all over. The water was amazing, calm, and so clear. Everyone was so helpful with our family, including a child on the autism spectrum. We stayed in the Tower and were blown away by how well the remodeling was done. We loved the Lanai. They had lunch and dinner “bites” that were larger than expected and more than enough for our family to get breakfast every day. We also would get snacks all day, our kids (teens) loved it too and it was nice for them to have some independence too. Bartenders were all super nice and being able to go to the Lanai to relax and just connect as a family made this trip really amazing. We did the luau at the hotel for convenience and glad we did - excellent service and the fire dancing - which we know isn’t traditional - was the highlight of the night. Food was generally good - they had kid options too which was helpful for picky eaters. Pools all good. Did like the adult hot tub with sand bottom. Kids loved the Hawaii ice bus by the water too. I see reviews for bad service or bad rooms - they are often people who stayed in the old section of the hotel. Don’t book these rooms - even with super high Marriott status you likely won’t be upgraded - it’s not like other Marriott properties - so if people plan on this - then get frustrated it’s hard to blame the hotel IMHO. Also, with the current info about the fires we weee thinking back on our amazing trip and hope everyone is safe and healthy at the hotel. ?

I have never stayed at a hotel with such poor customer service. Be careful, their “team” scammed us and indicated we had a $100 credit per day to use at the resort. They even told us we had to use the full amount each day or it would be forfeited. Based on what my wife and I were told we spent $100 many days expecting a credit for each day at the end of our stay. At the end of the stay they did not honor what we were told. The valet and concierge personnel were rude and impatient. A valet parker raised his voice at my wife when she didn’t exit the car quickly enough. Management ignores attempts to call/email and does not return calls! This property is a poor excuse for customer service. it was a terrible experience. There are way better places to spend your $ in Maui. We won’t be back!!

The front desk clerk told us upon arrival that each of our two room would receive a $100 resort credit per day, we verified this with the clerk twice. Upon check out we were told that this was never said and it was only a $100 total for each of the rooms. They LIED to us and no one ei accept responsibility or even come back with a helpful solution. Had an issue with valet, man came banging and yelling at me after he told me to pull off to the side, very RUDE. Asked for daily housekeeping services and many days were skipped even after talking to talking to front desk. Event planner was very rude and disrespectful when asking for help in making dinner arrangements and day trips. iManager and I did speak about the resort credit fee and has not been returning calls. Very disappointed in the way things weee handled.

I have never experienced such bad service at a hotel before. We booked a room as part of a block of rooms for 4 people. However when we checked in we were surprised that the room only had one king bed. Basically they did not apologize or try to fix the situation. Instead just said there is no guarantee there will be a bed for all four people if you book one room. Given there was an extra charge for the 3rd and 4th person I am beyond shocked. Now am stuck paying a hefty price to sleep on the floor. They have yet to bring me extra blankets.

My wife and I have stayed here consistently every August the past 9 years. Definitely a nice place to stay. Location is great and the focal point for sunset and snorkel cruises. Food is good throughout the resort. I miss the pre Wiacoco breakfast menu. A nice bagel lox cream cheese with coffee was the breakfast of choice… now I have to go to Starbucks for a bagel. My only complaint is with the pools. I pay a lot of money each day for a cabana located near the adult pool. The cabana service used to be top notch. Water delivered every hour or two, banana bread delivered in the morning, and ice cream in the afternoon. Now, the water delivery is very sporadic and no extras. Also, there is no one to keep the adult pool area adult only. I had toddlers all the way to teenagers spending a lot of time on the deck and pool/spa.

This hotel is amazing! The lobby is the most beautiful I have ever seen - with waterfall, flamingos, birds - it has a great Hawaiian feel - loved the guy who played the ukulele and handed out seashell necklaces. Great pools and very friendly staff. Prices are high for food but this a general thing in Hawaii. We loved the live music - both during the day and in the evening. If we ever come back to Maui, we will definitely stay here again

My family and I just stayed here for 6 nights. We had a great time relaxing. Hotel is beautiful staff is so nice. But that was all taken away when the night I got home from my trip, it dawned on me immediately that I had left my coach purse and a beautiful shirt that I got as a gift to wear over my bathings suits hanging up in the closet on the hangers. I called the hotel as soon as I realized this and of course they tell me “Nothing was left in my room”. I was so devastated at that point not because of the items. The items are replaceable but more about the morals and values of the staff who took it. It was so disappointing for my husband and I. We both knew those items were there. There was no doubt about it. So it was disappointing that miraculously, cleaning “didn’t find anything” . Lesson learned for us. I’m sure they get people leaving things all the time and just get to a point where it’s monotonous for them to try and even figure out where your item really truly is and i’m sure a lot of people are not very nice about it, so I get it. I have compassion for that. We were just super bummed that we called expecting to simply give our address for them to return my stuff but instead I got told nothing was in the room. So just a friendly reminder for all you all to please please make sure you take all your stuff before you leave. ? I know it can be so hard with taking care of your needs plus your kids when you are gathering all your belongings to go home, but no one deserves to get their stuff taken by hotel staff. Very disappointing. It was the first time I had left anything in a hotel room. But I have 2 kids and myself and trying to remember it all before we left. Definitely won’t stay here again but lesson learned for us.

"During our recent stay at the Westin Maui Resort and Spa in Maui, Hawaii, from May 25th to May 30th, 2025, we unfortunately encountered numerous problems that made our experience quite disappointing. We initially booked a room based on the photos we saw on the Marriott Bonvoy website, but they turned out to be misleading and confusing. To clarify the situation, we called the hotel directly on three separate occasions, speaking with different staff members each time, to confirm that all the rooms had been upgraded. We were reassured that they were, but upon arrival, we were given a non-remodeled room that was old, dirty, smelly, and surprisingly small. The size of the room posed a challenge for us, as even our child's crib barely fit without obstructing our movement. Frustratingly, we were left with no choice but to pay a significant additional amount on top of the already substantial cost of our stay (300k) to upgrade our room. We were moved to the new tower, hoping for a better experience, but unfortunately, the issues persisted. The water in the shower fluctuated between hot and cold, making it difficult to enjoy a comfortable bathing experience. Moreover, we were dismayed to discover the presence of bugs in our room, which was absolutely repulsive. Considering the inconvenience and the subpar conditions we encountered, it is disheartening to think that our expectations were not met. The lack of clarity regarding the room upgrades and the subsequent issues we faced significantly marred our stay at the Westin Maui Resort and Spa. The pool experience at the Westin Maui Resort and Spa was also a source of disappointment during our stay. The pool area was crowded, and it was evident that the hotel did not adequately prepare for the number of guests. There were a limited number of umbrellas available, leaving many guests without proper shade and protection from the sun. Additionally, the 60-minute rule for reserving chairs on the deck was not enforced, resulting in an unfair distribution of seating options. Not only were there insufficient amenities, but the pool itself was also cold and dirty, further detracting from our enjoyment. As parents with a toddler, it was particularly challenging to relax by the pool while constantly worrying about sunburn and the lack of suitable seating options. Adding to the disappointment, there was a noticeable shortage of servers in the pool area. The few servers present seemed overwhelmed, struggling to attend to all the guests. This was particularly evident during the busy Memorial Day weekend. It is surprising that the management did not anticipate the higher demand and plan accordingly to ensure adequate coverage and service. To make matters worse, it was a struggle to find a server willing to assist us. We had to approach multiple non-serving staff members to request help in locating a server. When we finally managed to find one, the server displayed an unhelpful and indifferent attitude, as if doing us a favor. This experience was even more disheartening, considering we had a small child with us, and it would have been beneficial to receive prompt and attentive service. Overall, our pool experience at the Westin Maui Resort and Spa fell far below expectations. The lack of proper amenities, overcrowding, disregard for the 60-minute rule, cold and dirty pool, and insufficient poolside service all contributed to a disappointing stay. We sincerely hope that the management addresses these issues to ensure a more enjoyable experience for future guests, especially those with young children. Although we must acknowledge that some of the staff members were friendly and tried to address our concerns, the overall experience fell far below our expectations, as did the remedies offered by staff. We feel that the hotel should have been more transparent about the room conditions and should have provided us with a suitable room from the start. The problems with the shower and the presence of bugs further exacerbated our dissatisfaction. Given our experience, we cannot in good conscience re
